Cheapest Way to get the Air Bag Fault Indicator Reset???

Accidently triggered the air bag fault indicator on my 06 JCW Cab when I had the passenger seat removed and turned the ignition on. The dealer wants 70 bucks for a reset. Is there a less expensive option?

Thanks much!

You need someone with a GT1 I would say that $70 is in the right ballpark

In all honest your probably going to have to have the dealer reset it. Once its on its on.

Ask independent shops that service or repair MINI or BMW. They should have a diagnostic tool that can do the reset. It should only take a few minutes.

Hmmm......well, that's not a bad idea. But, since I have an appointment for 8 am tomorrow morning, I think I'll just take it to Mini. Lesson learned. Thanks all!

What you need is a B200 Scan Tool to reset the light.

If you scour the web you can find them out there. Once you have it you will never need to visit the dealer for an airbag light again.
