Since the last of the accessories I ordered with my car finally arrived this past week, I felt it was time to take some proper photos of Monte. I snapped a few while out and around in the Bay area yesterday and posted them to my gallery.

Only about 150 miles left until the break-in period is over!

Add me to the list. I picked up my 2009 MCS about a month ago and have been out driving almost every day.

How awful!! I can imagine how you must feel. Hope no one was injured, besides your new Clubman.

No one was hurt thankfully. We had our 3yo son in the car with us. The other driver said that he was going 35 he thought when he hit us! My wife is very sad about being without the car for a while though. The adjuster is supposed to look at it this week. It sucks to get hit in the first place, but to get hit and you haven't even made a payment on it really sucks!

I'm sorry about the MINI above :( I am glad no one was hurt.

Add me to the club! I just picked up my Horizon Blue MINI on Saturday after patiently waiting for it since ordering it in August!

Banannastand, you must post pictures! It's so fun to see each other's cars.

Cooperjet, any word on how long it will take to fix your car?

Oh, and welcome to the group!!

The adjuster was out this morning. The first round of parts should be in next week and then they will start tearing in to it. The bill so far is at 4500 and I expect it to climb as they pull the panels off. To be honest, I'll be surprised if we see it in 3 weeks. The shop that it's at said they aren't the fastest, but they are the best. They were recommended by the local MINI dealer and have a great reputation here. So all we can do now is
Anyone have any experience with claiming diminished value with insurance companies? The appraiser at our dealer says that this accident can take off 15-25% when we go to trade it in. This is really unacceptable to me as it is a brand new car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When I looked at the photos, my first thought was that this would not be a cheap repair. Any time you get hit in a door, and in this case 2 doors, a lot of bad things can happen. Hopefully the hinges and door jamb are not tweaked. One thing to watch is how the doors fit and operate when they get done.

Good Luck!

Meet Beaker

Hello all,

Just found this thread. My wife and I picked up Beaker on May 15th after ordering it in April. Beaker is a 2009 MCS that sports an Aero Kit, Silver Bonnet Stripes, and a new set of shoes which are 17" Rota RB's in gunmetal. Love the color, I get compliments on it all the time!!

Pretty sweet rims... do one of the kits you mention have the painted calipers?

The aero kit is the painted side skirts and different bumpers (no black trim) from MINI. The calipers I painted myself along with the caliper decals I designed.

scho06-

I really like the look of the silver bonnet stripes with the black roof & mirrors. Are those the standard silver bonnet stripes found on the configurator on MINIUSA.com?

You can see how vanilla my car is and how little time I looked for options based on my lack of knowledge. The painting looks pretty cool... too bad my mechanical skills are slim to none to even get at the calipers.

CooperJet: oh wow! Sorry about the damage, at least no one was hurt. As far as diminished value claims go, you probably can't claim it through your insurance but you will be able to file a claim through the carrier for the responsible party. The process will most likely involve a before and after appraisal of the car.

SaltNPepa: you can add me to the list please? I took delivery yesterday 9/26

How do I attach the HBOC Badge # on my signature? I forgot how to do it. Can someone please give me the code and tell me how to do it?
