Me too. I'd get like a 95 Civic and beat the crap out of it.

Someone just hit and run my parked mini sometime overnight. Going to need the passenger quarter-panel replaced. Maybe I need a beater car, but then again, things like this probably don't happen to beater cars. When I can only have one car living in nyc, I'm still sticking with my mini cooper. I'm gonna enjoy it and accept the inconvenient bumps in the night.

Sorry to hear this. Anyway to get garage parking where you are. I know it is expensive.

I forgot to mention another thing to worry about in NYC while parking outside. The overnight the garbage pickup action takes place in full effect. If you live in an area where is hard to find a spot, try to avoid the space that has the garbage bags right next to your car. The reason is because the lovely garbage guys tend to fly the bags OVER your bonet and if they miss BOOM! they hit your car. Is really traumatic not to have your car parked indoors in this city as everytime you hear a noise, you tend to think that something happened to your car. Oh and one more thing, I hope you are a minimalist becuase if you tend to leave anything inside your car, the window will be broken regardless. The positive side, it makes the habit of keeping your interior spotless a no brainer!!

This is my parking space at my studio. When I go back to my place I park at a traditional parking garage, although I like this one best of course!!
