Longest wait for accessory from vendor?

Anyone ever order something from a vendor and it take over a month to arrive though you were expecting within a week or two? I'm still waiting for an accessory from a vendor (not saying what or who since it's not terribly important, just a little irritating) that I ordered back on July 3 and the item was stated as shipping within 4 - 7 days. That status has remained ever since. I've gotten a few emails explaining that they were waiting for shipments (even though the site said nothing about back order), and then last week got told that it'd ship by Friday, August 1, so hopefully I'll have it soon.

So I'm just curious... what's the longest you've patiently waited for a part or accessory for your MINI? One thing though: Edge doesn't qualify to compete in this contest with his DPSM upgrade.

I ordered from Coopersport and am still waiting for part of the order.
Valve Caps. Received e-mail just this week from them saying it was Mini parts fault. I canceled the rest of the order.
This can happen, but just how long you should wait is up to you.
If a vendor can't provide the listed parts in a timely manner, then its time to use a different vendor!

I am not a Doctor nor do I pretend to be one... Therefore I have no patients

If I order something and it does not arrive in a timely manner I will cancel payment quicker than your can say floccinaucinihilipilification
which by the way is exactly how I feel about said company.

Only 265 more days till MOTD 2009...

I've been waiting for center caps for my RPF1's for about 6 weeks now and will still be waiting another 2 or so. But, I knew this going in, also. Even Tire Rack has a wait time of like 3 or 4 weeks and that's not a guarantee. I guess Enkei had to outsource the plastic and paint or something.

It's more of a ME accessory, instead of the car, but...I've been waiting on a MINI Tshirt from MINIMANIA for over a month now. To be honest, they DID say they were backordered...hoWEVer....

I currently have some items on order for a company (shall remain nameless) and from the order sheet and e-mail confirmation i had expected them in 1-2 weeks. Then after two weeks of not getting a shipping e-mail, i e-mails them and have had no response. But I did find that their web site changed and has a big note on it that states that it now takes 6-7 weeks to fill an order.

So i have two more weeks to wait and then i will be rejecting the charges on my credit card.

If the parts are late and I have rejected the charges and I still receive the product i will not allow it to be charged to my account again and the company will be out the money and the product for the sale.

Do you really think that you should give them that much more time?
They didn't have the common courtesy to respond to your email let alone contact you to tell you that it would be a little longer.
These types of businesses have not earn some special right not to address their customers when things go wrong, if anything they owe you an explanation right now.

Please tell us which company it is so that we don't waste our hard earned money on them.

You can PM me if you would like to keep it private.

Not a "vendor" but...
When I ordered my Clubman on 19 Feb, part of it included mudflaps. I picked up the car on 7 April - no mudflaps. They finally arrived on 30 JUNE. Now, I'm supposed to be getting a new rear wiper motor - ordered 30 June - no sign of it yet...

My first order to a company I will call MM, got a part for a ford-150.
customer service said MM will re-send the MINI part. called to check status after another 2 weeks. Part was never re-sent. third try, I got the part. (one month total).
Second order to MM, ordered a part on back-order, I indicated back orders OK. Called after 2 weeks "Oh, part came in, but we canceled your order. Do you still want it?"
But MM did get a third order correct. So the trend is in the right direction. I like their stuff. I'll order from MM again, expecting a month and being pleasantly surprised if sooner.
