Finance Director of MINI plant caught speeding

This is back from November, but I thought it was an interesting story considering everything involved. (Didn't see it in a search, so if there's already a thread, I sincerely apologize )

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770

For those who don't want to read the article...

The finance director for the MINI plant in Oxford was busted by a camera going 101mph in a MCS, then tried to claim it was his 19 year old son who was driving. In the end he admitted it was himself, got fined approximately $2500 and was suspended from driving for three months.

Personally, I think he got off easy. Twice the speed limit and gets a fine and three month suspension? I don't even want to think what an SC State Trooper would do to me if I was busted going twice the limit.

And he threw his kid under the bus. Typical corporate officer.

Maybe he offered to give his son an MCS in exchange for taking the blame (a la Family Guy episode)

Well, I don't think that its that bad. I was caught doing double and a half, once. I was very lucky with that situation.

I don't like how he tried to blame it on his son. thats just not right.

There was a thread about this a while ago.

Anyway, do tell this double-and-a-half story. As long as you learn from it and we all know it's not a good idea to speed, this shouldn't get locked.

Do you really think you could find a traffic camera in SC?
