My boyfriend ordered me a license plate frame for Christmas...but it didn't fit. We thought it would because there was a picture of a Mini on the website but, as it turns out, the frame fits first generation Minis but I have a 2007 second generation.

The guy was GREAT about it - he made a new plate that he sent us as a replacement for free! And the new plate looks really great! It's a chrome frame and matches the chrome on my Mini perfectly. It also screws into the car from the back so it makes a nice, clean frame. When he sent the replacement frame, he also sent us money for the return shipping of the one that didn't fit.

In short, I had a really great experience with the guy AND I got a license plate frame that I love. I just wanted to pass along the information to anyone else out there who was interested. Here's his website....

And here I thought license plate frames were standard and one-size-fits-all.

 

They should be, unless when the guys said 1st gen Mini's, he meant classic Minis.

 

The original frame was so wide that it wouldn't fit under the lip on my boot. (does that make sense??) The replacement is thinner so it fits perfectly. I'll try to post pictures soon....
