I tried to take your survey. But I can't answer the "Main competitor" question, as there isn't one in my opinion. You should add "Other" to that question.

So that being the case, the survey won't let me complete, and I'm not going to give a bogus answer.

 

I tried to take the survey too, but I'm not sure whether to say yes or no to whether I own a MINI or not. I'm sort of inbetween.

 

This survey request is posted in three different forums. Almost spam.

 

Crap...I'm 25 and the options are under 25 or 26 and up...plus my wife and I purchased it together so technically the owner of our MINI would be both...

Also, I agree on the other comment in that I can think of other cars that are competitors to the MINI, but not really any of the ones listed...I suppose the Miata would be the closest, but it is still a 2 person only vehicle. I could see maybe the Rabbit/GTI competing against the hardtops and maybe the Eos against the verts, but not the 4door much larger Jetta.

As for the experience question...I see many NAMers that would answer something to the effect of street legal go-kart/track car.

I guess I"ll just take it and use the "which answer might possibly be the closest maybe" method.

 

Yea, I'd definitely suggest editing that competitors question. Honestly for me there are no real competitors for the MINI because of how unique of a vehicle it is. But if you had an 'other' option I could at least consider something. However the options you have listed are nowhere even remotely competitive to the MINI IMO.

WRX as competition to the MINI? Seriously?

Anyway, the competition for me when I bought mine was the Civic SI, Mazda3 5-door, and the Scion TC. None of which can hold a candle to my MCS. But a WRX??? That's a WHOLE 'nother story!

 

Better than a Jetta. A GTI, maybe, but a Jetta? I smell a rat. Or, at least a goldfish.

Did you pretest this thing? Mini is not "mini" Competitors were certainly limited and none really fit. Based on the other feedback you are getting, your results are likely to be meaningless.
