Yeah your luck didn't work. I'm still waiting, again, for my badges. It's been a couple weeks now.

To comment on the quality of the badges, they are not as good as the badges I received from KewlAutoArt.com. They seem to be stickers placed on a crudely cut circle of the magnetic material, without a lamination layer. There are a few small bubbles under the sticker material. My concern is whether they will survive wet weather. The KewlAutoArt badges are very cleanly cut, have no bubbles, and appear to have a thin clear lamination layer on top. KewlAutoArt also looks to have a slightly thicker magnetic material. And for the price, $7.50, at KewlAutoArt postage is included. No, I don't work for KewlAutoArt, just a happy customer.
All MotorSwag badges are laminated with UV resistant ultra-clear vinyl. The printed vinyl itself is 3-5 year outdoor quality vinyl. If you have a quality issue with your purchase, please email me, rather than make false claims about how my products are constructed.

MotorSwag badges use a 30 mil vinyl covered magnetic material which is the standard for high quality automotive applications.

I don't know what the Kewl Art badges are like but I do know what mine are like and if theirs are thicker than 30mil, then I'd like to know what cuts them.

Well, let me present what I'm talking about in a photo. This is a picture of badge I haven't put on my car yet. The image used on the badge is really nice. However, as you can see, the rough edges of the magnetic material are sticking out from underneath what seems to be a sticker, what you are calling printed vinyl. To the lower left you can see that the circle cut is pretty rough and the end point of the cut does not match the starting point. So, the circle cut for the magnetic material is slightly bigger than the printed vinyl. All but one of the 7 badges I received are like that. And the two badges I ordered immediate after receiving my others, has only just now generated a tracking number that isn't showing shipping info at usps.com. Fool me twice, indeed.

The image is pretty sweet, I agree.

I have to say, NONE of my something like 12 MiniSwag badges look like that. The images come all the way to the edge and have nice clean cuts. I just went out to my garage detailing cabinet, where all my badges reside...they all look much better than that.

I honestly don't know what is going on, but I have to say that both the service and the product that I received from Jeff both over the summer and more recently are better than what's going around lately.

I don't have any solutions or guesses as to what's going on...just wanted to put that out there. I'm still a very happy customer but the pictures don't lie.

I received one of the two badges I ordered. I was told the one that is missing was printed and was going to be shipped with this one.

@MLWagner79
I imagine that these were rushed or done by someone other than whoever did yours before all the delays came up.

@MINIxB

Was that the black and silver checkered badge? That's the one I was waiting for from my previous order. I also ordered a Christmas wreath badge since I received a free badge coupon for the black and silver checkered badge and to make the shipping more efficient. It's a couple of days before this Christmas, so hopefully I will have it for next year's holiday.

No. Mine is the yellow/black checkerboard grill badge.

Damn, hope I'm not judging wrongly, but I definitely know where I won't be getting my badges from. Actually planned on ordering from Motoring File anyway...

Happy Holidays!

My 4 badges all have the same problem. Really annoying to have that ragged white magnet material showing on the black badges.

That on top of my order wasn't even shipped until 60 days after I placed it AND I received multiple communications throughout the 60 days assuring me that my order "Will ship in 2-3 days" or "Will ship in 4-7 days".

I just received my Christmas wreath badge and it is really nice looking on the car. It is a little better that the photographed badge, but the magnetic is still slightly sticking out from under the printed vinyl on one side. I am still waiting on the black and silver checkered badge to ship from my original order, so we'll see if the problem still exists with that one. I'm thinking not, only because the other silver and black badge I received, the bullseye, seems to be a different process since it is a foil and was the only one of my original order that looks correct all around. DVLMini can correct me there if I'm wrong.

Again, the badges I've received from Kewl Auto Art do not have this problem at all.

Can you post up a picture of your badges from Kewl Auto Art like the one up there?

I was told that my Mellow Yellow/ Black checkered badge was going to be made the Wensday after I ordered the badges and I'm still waiting for it. I placed my order on December 1st.

Here is the Lightning Blue owners club badge Kewl Auto Art made up for me. I've had this one on the car quite a few times. It has sharp edges and there seems to be a clear material over the print. Side by side, this badge is thicker, I think by the thickness of the clear material. All the badges I got from Kewl Auto Art were like this. I will order from them again.

Updating the thread since I was one of the ones doing all the squawking. I finally received my badges right before xmas and they looked fine to me, didn't notice anything wrong with them like jagged edges or whatnot. They're on my car and I'm happy... though I have to admit I hesitate to order more. I think I'll wait and see how things go. They have some other items I'd be interested in buying but I'm going to wait and see if they get things to run smoother.

Do yourself a favor, go to the below website and order the magnetic Inkjet Vinyl kit, and a few sheets of the Weatherproof UV protectant sheets (or the spray) and make your own.

Does anyone know what happened to Kewl Auto Art? The website was "down for maintenance" a couple of days ago and now it's GONE.

When I contacted him around the holidays he said that he was taking a short break and the site would be back soon, but it's been a few weeks now.

I hope they get their issues worked out, they have some fun designs.
