i just recently bought a dvd player with flip out screen function. i was happy because i saved up for it and stuff. i asked my "friend" to install it for me and he said sure. so we exchanged cars so he can use my mini while i use is 350z while he works on it. he gives me a call and says he crashed my mini. he plays around a lot so i thought he was joking and hung up on him. he calls me again and tells me that he is serious. so i take him seriously.

he takes it up on the hills near tracy, ca and says he couldnt see and that he was paying attention to the oncoming traffic. obviously he is lying because if you cant see, you drive slower right? and why would you take it to the hills if all you had to do is just install the dvd player? he said, " i had to test out the dvd player so i took it up there" there goes another lie. if you wanted to test it... just drive around the block. so now, he tries to talk to me acting like nothing has happened. he didnt pay for any damages... i lost the wheels that were brand spankin new. the tires only had like 500 miles on them. lolol. ::sigh:: so its been 4 hard and long years away from the community and now im extremely happy to be back with them. well... ill be back with them as soon as i receive my new mini

hows this for bad luck.
I was parked on a street corner. and some lady driving a moving truck didnt make a wide enough turn and the back tires just hooked on to my MINI and tore everything ( as you can see in the pictures )

this isnt as bad as the others ive seen so far, but what sux is that i wasnt even moving, i was parked.

I Cried...

...this pales in comparison to some of the more tragic posts here - and I truly sympathize with you, fellas - but I cried, nevertheless:

Looks like a nice, neat repair, and you have documentation of what had to be done if the next buyer wants to know.

Other than part of the door pocket being pushed in, there was no intrusion into the passenger compartment. The other driver said he was going 35-40mph at impact.

The car has been fixed and is a good as new. Drives perfect and the convertible top still works perfectly.
That was you? Sorry to see that, but what a cool thing to have.

Here are the pics of my totaled 04. I was hit by a Chevy 2500 pickup truck.

Note the rip in the dash. Now that's some force...

Gas soaked cat litter, compliments of the RFD...

Mishka in post #39....you were hit broad size at 35-40mph? what kind of car? did your side air bags go off? if so, the seat air bag +/or the side curtain bags?

any other pictures with descriptions of head-ons but with the passenger compartment staying intact and saving the perosn's life?

a friend of ours fell asleep and hit her MINI into a tree, at high speed...the dad didn't have any pictures but said the front end was like an accordian, but the daughter was OK but couldn't 'walk away' because both ankles were broken, but he said the car saved her life..then the dad bought her an SUV because he thought that would be safer...go figure!

Not my car, but I took the picture!

Found this at a local junkyard. Does this car look familiar to anyone?

My friend told me he always wanted to jump on my exhaust, so he jumped on this cars. Didn't bend or anything, the exhaust is pretty sturdy.

Got these from another forum.

Teenage driver right here! I know it isnt really the same as what is being suggested in the post above but as soon as i turn 18 i am going to try to get some time at my "local" track. This way i at least have some idea of what my car is like at it's limits (plus it looks like fun to boot).

Hmm, that gets me thinking, i wonder if...
