The "I took a picture of you losing it" thread.

I asked someone to take a few pictures of me, he took 170.
This was at Firebird raceway, Pro Auto Sports track day, I run the non-timed groups. I saved this one, but went agricultural later.

It's been a long day... zzzzzzz.

Awesome shots! What wheels are you running on your MCS?

Makes me wish I had a track nearby... *jealous*

That is a really cool set of picture. Nice save, would like to see the other ones you referenced as well.
Happy Motoring.

Great responses!

AKIndiMini: I'm a little over 100 miles from this track. I'm working on getting one built up here (think I'm kidding?). The wheels I just got through NAM, they are Exel, the little emblems got pulled off from the g's. They are 12 lbs. lighter per wheel.

KPMINI: You asked for it!

Mugami: Very perceptive. I got a ride.
Thanks for posting the photos.

Here is my pit in the corner of the paddock. Tools: wrench, jack, gloves, beach towel. And doing 3 tire rotations was fun.

Here I am chasing down purpose built track cars. I'm serious, this car is awesome! Driving 10/10s helps.

Most of the time there was no traffic.

What sixteen 20 minute sessions over the weekend do to tires.

And the Atom...

... I asked for a ride. The owner admitted he sucked at driving it (I wasn't going to say anything), but it is wicked! These two have GM Ecotec supercharged engines. The transition from full throttle, backing off, and back on again seemed more harsh than the MINI. Only 5 states allow them to be registered without bumpers, cat, DSC, ABS, body, windsheild...

Dave says shoot from a low position.

We are buckling up.

What... no grab handles?

Ain't that purty?

There were other cars.

It was chilly in the morning.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like a great time, Kurt. When you get that track built, be sure and let us know!

I did the same thing to a set of new tires...

on a weekend track session. Get some front camber plates. The car will handle better and your tires will last a lot longer....

Cool photos. How was the ride in the Atom?

The acceleration is accompanied by supercharger whine behind you, the helmet muffeled it. Each shift would snap your head back. Looking at the front wheels, steering rack, etc. moving was cool. He was not pushing it, yet we were catching others. Made my MINI seem like a turd.
