Did you buy the yellow cooper S with the carbon scoop at MOP?? Also, got my new intercooler on today for SLMP. We can't have Civics beating us now can we even if they are stripped down with Integra type R motors in them! (He will still be tough to beat.) Are you going to put some miles on it and visit SLMP just to say hi???

That's the one

Possibly... Especially depending upon what definition of "just to say hi" you use... who's the chair for the next event? Could I somehow find myself out there for a free "bonus lap"?

I really liked that one! Looked at it three or four times the day Ryan had his JCW aircleaner and injectors installed! Just liked it I guess!!! I'm sure something can be arranged for SLMP (I do want a ride).

I'm actually looking to trade the carbon fiber mirror caps and scoop for stock black mirror caps and yellow scoop... plus a little money. I need money to fix the brown MINI more than I need carbon fiber bits on the daily driver.

I had my first track experience Tuesday at an all-mini performance driving school and track day. What a rush! And what happened to my tires?! Holy Cow! It was an awesome rush to pass S's and hang with them on long straight aways because I carried more speed out of the corners. Where do they find these instructors though? They have nerves of steel to get in with a beginner driver. The most reaction my instructor showed all day long was when he said "That was an interesting line through that corner". Goin' back next month for more!

You can see a bent front swaybar endlink (sliver hting hanging down near the brake caliper). And I think the tie rod is supposed to be straight, not bent.

Behind the swaybar is a black, square tubing crash structure that used to be much more "normal" looking.

And front lower control arms are not supposed to look like this:

Snid, the tie rod looks ok. It's bent the same as the left side. The goal is to get the car rolling / running soon. Keep ya posted!

Hello TJAC,

I have just finished my 1st season of AutoX in my MINI with the local Miata Club. Ran Well and Had a Ton--Fun. Ran faster with each outing and lap. Found a set of used Hoosier A3's for my last outing, I must say without a doubt the BEST MOD for MINI's running the cones or track.

I love Auto X and really enjoy when 1st timers come out and I can help them to get better, not win, just better with each lap. That's the focus I encourage in myself and others, it's about becoming better each time, not "just" winning your class.

I started Auto X when I was only 15, 38 now, in Fla with a friend in a 69 Mini that was all track, Ton O Fun, we also ran a 912 and 914, cheap, easy and fun to drive.

Pics of my last outing can be found in #11 at https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=115683

May I become a Member of Team Just A Cooper?

I like the way http://www.nocones.com/decaldragauto.htm says it.

Drag Racing is for fast cars.

Auto X is for Fast Drivers.

New water pump, control arm replaced, A/C removed. Battery removed (relocating to the back fo the car). Airbox removed (a new filter will be placed right off the throttle body).

Unfortunately, the axle / CV joint / wheel bearing was damaged, so we're waiting for a new axle and wheel bearing to arrive.

Hendrix and I are now ready to join Team Justacooper! He's got his new 16 inch R90s with 205/50-16 Kuhmo tires, his new H&R 19mm rear sway bar, his new S spoiler, and his K&N air filter. He does not even resemble the old mans MINI I purchased 3 months ago. He is race ready at last!!

This Saturday will be my second SCCA AutoX race. It has been fun, fun, fun so far but I definitely need to get some more seat time! So count me in Team Justacooper!

There's still a lot of work left, but I was able to drive my Cooper a few miles today!

Hello TEAM JUSTACOOPER,

I have an offer for the Team. In starting AutoXCooper.com I also got the URL www.TEAMJUSTACOOPER.com I want to offer it to the Team to use and manage.
I'm not a website building guy, but know there are some of you that could do it.
I have a vision for the site and welcome any vision you may. I do not desire to drive anyone away from this thread or NAM. I hope the site would become a clearing house of info for the Team and a place to post our results and pics. I do not want a forum or blog, NAM covers that need.

I would like a banner for AutoXCooper.

Please PM me if you would like to lead the build/manage of www.TEAMJUSTACOOPER.com

Dancing with the Cones, Dustin

Ooops, I've used the graphic but never joined.

I'm a very proud Just A Cooper owner. Was the only one running with the S's in the B group at a MINI track day recently. Was the slowest in the straights, but that isn't where skill is important

In the hills, I can hang with or lead the best of them.

I'm thinking of having a small "S" with the "not" circle with a line through it made for my boot.

We look forward to seeing that list. You can also build them into your "signature" like I have below.
