Team Justacooper
the result was good last time, but I was only in competition with two other cars
Last Autox of the year --------
The results are in (it took them 2 weeks) and I came out about where I usually do. I was 52 out of 95 on PAX in my H stock Cooper.
In H Stock, there were only 3 of us, and I get spanked by those other guys. Bernie runs on V910's, I'm on Azenis. He also has the advantage of knowing what he's doing:
Bernie 05 Mini Cooper Convertible 0:37.854
Stephen 91 Honda CRX 0:38.848
Rob 05 Mini Cooper 0:41.292
However, I do have the small satisfaction of not being the slowest thing out there, and overall I do beat various other types:
Rob 05 Mini Cooper 0:41.292
Max Mazda Miata 0:41.494
Wibby Nissan 240sx 0:41.549
Tom Jaguar XJS 0:41.572
Jonathon Chevy Camaro 0:42.012
Lacon Audi A4 0:42.147
Cal Chevy Camaro ss 0:42.226
Pete Pontiac GTO 0:42.614
Phil Chevy Vette 0:42.916 0.302
I obviously have a lot to learn! Autocross is such a completely different animal than road courses, I feel a little more comfortable on a track. But there's always next year, and I'll get better with more seat time. I should probably spring for some tires, but hey, I'm having fun, and DE's eat up all my money anyway.
Drive on........

ohh, no im not saying its not right
I built my crx into SM because I thought it would run Gstock. but who knowsss, is it an SI?
I checked the rulebook and it lists CRXsi (all) as being in G stock. I'll have to look a little closer next year, and ask him a few questions. I don't really care, he can run wherever he wants, but it would be nice to know just for comparison purposes. It's a pretty slack club, there's a lot of stuff in H stock that I wonder about. There's a guy shows up sometimes with a Nissan Frontier pickup, V6, little tiny 14" wheels on it. I don't think they're stock, but hey, I'm a noob, so I'm not complaining. I just like to drive around and see if I can get better at it.
I run against myself, so to speak.

The last time I looked, the CRX HF and DX run in HS. The Si, which had considerably more power, is a GS car. The HF would be a dog thanks to the all-mega tall gearing, but the DX could be ok, but probably not as fast as a Mini.
Didn't I see you post about having a chip once though
That's not quite HS legal either, if so

Our Cooper (driven by scobib) ended up in 2nd place in Class E for the 2006 AX season with the LSC BMWCCA... 1st place was a highly modded e36 M3... 3rd place was a highly modded e36 M3... and in 2nd place, it's Justacooper.
Flash? What flash?
Good thing I never win anything, hunh?
I'm just out there having a good time, trying to learn something. Like I said, the club's pretty slack. I enjoy trying to compare times with other makes and models, and see if I can improve, but I guess I'm just not very competitive, by nature, or by skill level. But I have learned that it's kind of hard to set a car up for both tracking and autocross, you almost have to pick one or the other. Yes, I do have the MTH standard file.

I am announcing my resignation from Team Justacooper.
I didn't really represent the team in AutoX or anything...but I did represent for the Coopers. Bruiser is the only Cooper featured on the cover of MC2 so that's something.
Anyhoo...I got me a new MCS. It will never replace the MODMINI in my heart, but man, it's a sweet ride.
It's a 2006 AB/S MCSa. Premium, sport, leather, anthracite all over the place, armrest, H/K, silver "u" bonnet stripe, a full toggle panel.
Bruiser is now on the lot at Jackie Cooper MINI in Edmond, OK trying to catch the eye of a lucky new owner.
Take care and kick some butt, y'all!

I don't think so...we haven't made plans yet anyway. Wait until I get our taxes figured, then we'll know!
You could always make plans to come to Tulsa for Phil Wicks and the runoffs for the North American MINI Cooper Challenge at Hallett Raceway in October!

Sign me up. I have a bone stock 2005 MC and have been auto-xing and time trialing for about 7 months. I don't place very well but have a lot of fun. Just a slow learner, I guess. Problem is most of the competition in H stock has 8 to 12 years of experience. I guess it's true that seat time pays off
Right now I'm running Hankook Rs2 Z212's on 15" holies. Hope to get some 16" Rota Slipstreams and 215/45R16 Kumho V710's later this year.( Have to convince the bride that I neeeed another set of wheels stacked in the garage
) Still have my 16" runflats for street use. I am itching to attend an Evolution autocross school but they haven't scheduled one in FL. I have claimed a few MCS scalps in a couple of time trial events. At last event I finished 27th out of 34 entrants
but I was the only Cooper and half the MCS's were highly modified. The last three places were Classics. Anyway I need to get way better.

I know they only recently started announcing parts of their schedule (the early season parts). I'm signed up for one when they come here to L.A.
