Team Justacooper
well, I was unable to find a new set of boots before the next autox so I wont be running r-comps on sunday :/ but hopefully I can still be competitive with my runflats -ugh- Ill post the outcome then, hopefully a video if I can figure out how it works
justintime: I'm in a similar boat right now. I'm going to be driving the first practice session at the autocross tomorrow on my all season tires and then doing my wheel change to the V710's. I'm trying to bleed out another event or two out of them. We'll see if that strategy works or not. :impatient
YakiMini: you're been added.

Today's L.A. BMWCCA Results
1st: Charlie in Justacooper (co-drove my car
) at 79.2
2nd: Dave in Justacooper at 79.32
That's as deep as the trophies went in the MINI class, so we'll probably have to wait several days to see how the standing shook out for the rest of the class.
However, for the record, both Charlie and I in justacooper, finished ahead of all of the entrants in all of the BMW Classes including ///M stock and ///M modified. :D The fastest ///M modified finisher was 80.XXX.
The only cars that were faster than Justacooper today were instructors, an elise, and a white DSP prep'd White E36 M3. That car laid down a 71.2 as the fastest time (by Beverly who beat her husband Toby by .1).
Once again, this being L.A. BMWCCA there were many timing problems.
I was in the first group in the final as the co-driver. The rest of the MINIs were in the second group. My group started off under the assumption we'd get 3 timed runs. I flubbed my first run, then went out on my second run to put down a good lap that would count, figuring I could push it in the third lap. No such luck though, because when I came in there had been enough timing problems they knocked us back to 2 timed laps. Everyone in the second heat drove knowing they'd get two timed runs.
What can I say, the timing continues to be an issue.
The good news overall though was that my "lowly" justacooper kicked some serious BMW carcass around Hollywood Park.

I ended up with the 7th fastest time (raw) on Saturday afternoon... and 4th fastest after the lights went out on Saturday night - yeah, that's right a NIGHT autocross! Same course as in the afternoon, with the cones marked with green and orange glow sticks. It's total insanity (in a fun way)!
FWIW, my fastest time at night was only 1.8 seconds slower than the daytime run - we were hauling the mail!
For the Sunday points event, I ended up in 3rd place in my class and 15th (raw) of 50 cars (beating several ///M cars, 'vettes, and others). I missed 2nd place by .09! Oh well...

night time autocross sounds like a blast.
I'm also de-building a bit of the suspension on my MC, so I can run h-stock next year. I got the swaybar out tonight. Next up is removing the camber plates, reinstalling the stock strut mounts, and finally getting some stock offset 16x6.5" wheels with appropriate rubber.

I've seen the Team Justacooper badges, but I only now found this thread. You can definitely add me to the list as an owner of justa(jcw)cooper.
I've owned two Coopers, both Indi Blue and White, the first a CVT and the current one a manual. About a year ago I added a JCW Tuning Kit for about what I could have paid to get an S.
Here are my two Coopers side-by-side back in 2004:

I'd like to buy a small Team Justacooper decal or window cling if someone makes them.

I have seen the badges for awhile but didn't know that I could actually join. Sign me up! My MINIBee is justacooper with a recently added JCW Sound Kit. I am SO glad I didn't get an S and very proud to drive justacooper.
I raced H-stock this past Sunday for the first time, won the class and PAX'd 27 out of 215.
The field was very competitive with the top six places within 1.8 seconds. My co-driver autocrossed a MC for the first time and PAX'd in the top third of all the drivers at the event.

FSP? That will be some interesting competition for a Cooper...let us know how it goes
just based on your sig....what mod do you have that kicks you out of STS?
