When I try to configure one the same as our JCW, it comes up with one for $1650 more, despite the iPod/Bluetooth being free. To get the garage door opener it insist on adding external dimming, heated and powerfold mirrors. The garage door opener ends up costing $1100.

You're lucky, in Australia a fairly basic configuration will be $55000 and our dollar is currently worth more than yours.

My '13 JCW Coupe build comes in at a shade over $36K. YAYYYYYY !!

Wanted to see how much the Auto tranny is going to be in the JCW Coupe, and hey, not too bad. Really want the manual transmission but a recent drive in heavy traffic in my manual 05 Justa convinced my my knees and hips are not going to allow me to drive a manual as I get into my 50's and beyond. Oh well, plenty of fun to be had driving the JCW Coupe even with auto tranny.

They haven't updated the price on the main site when you hover over JCW it still has the 2012 price.

Holy crap, to build my exact 2012 JCW for 2013 it's $4,000 more because of the change in the packages!

MSRP for 2013 is $30,800 (includ d&h) and I believe it was $29,600 (includ d&h) for 2012. Looks like the price went up $1,200? I had to go with '13 anyways as I need Auto. I'm right at an MSRP of $35k when I built mine. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Odd, I spec'd my wife a roadster just like mine but with the Auto, and it was only 700 bucks more....odd since the Auto cost more than $700....not sure where the price difference is...cause it should be more. (and yes, I have the semi-auto top as well).

Mini Connected price reduction?

Wasn't Mini Connected like $1,200, or am I wrong? It's now just $750, and also comes with the $250 armrest. Seems like a pretty good deal to me if you own an iPhone!

That sounds great. Ima do my configuration later on. Does anyone know if they mention about the new engine? Also is the auto tranny a normal auto or faster dual clutch, something like that. For faster shifts, because I been seeming the times on the JCW and the manuel is still faster in times than the auto tranny.

Even if you don't...I hate Apple, but bought an iPod touch to use with the MINI connected and it's great, far better than the older iPod interface :-) Now if it would only work with Android....but alas, no. :-(

It's said to be the same Auto they have now...but trust me, it can shift faster than they do stock.......try driving an Auto with an Alta AP ;-)

Can you please further elaborate on the auto shifting differences between stock and with the Access Port? I was under the impression the AP is aimed more towards improving the performance of the turbo/motor than the actual transmission itself. This is fantastic news.

I recently drove a 2012 MCS in Auto and I like it alot but notice the shfits lag a little bit when using the paddles. I ordered a 2013 JCW in Auto and plan to mod it. I would love to here more info!

This is great! Did you have the configurator set to your home page? The 2013 JCW went live at about 7:30 and you noticed it around 10. That was fast!

Ha Ha, I was so obsessed that I would check the site twice a day. I kept looking for the $30,800 MSRP, up from the $30,600. Then, there it was. I was super happy to see the black cross spoke challenge wheels listed as a n/c option too. And ok, I wanted to be the first to announce it
