A bit dirty after the ride home in the NJ slush but here she is. I loved my '09 but I gotta say that the subtle interior enhancements to the '11 really make a difference in functionality, quality and aesthetics. That was the pleasant surprise. It was this color combo that orginally sold me on getting another one. First mods were the stubby antenna and '11 justa scuttles.

Looks good

I've only seen 2 other MINI's with the Red roof, but did yours come with the brake duct red??? or did you paint them?

I had the brake ducts painted chili red. It looks even better in person I think. It was a finishing touch that I thought would look really cool and took a gamble on. No regrets.

Ok, I thought I was missing something for second that you could order them painted cause I'd never seen or heard of it.

Hey BigMiniAl, Congratulations on your JCW.... looks great...

I like the red brake intakes.....
I also have an '11 MB/CR JCW picked it up Nov.20th only have about 600 miles on it.. Since I work in the city I only get to drive on the weekends... thinking I should change jobs so I can drive more ....

Mine is under a cover under 2 feet of snow.. ..
How did your "Summer performance tires" handle in the slush/snow?
I still don't understand why MINI/BMW would let a car go to the North East without even the option of All Season tires.....

I know some/most change over to non RF and some have a second set of rims/tires... I don't have that luxury... Plus I got the wheel/tire protection plan...

Can I ask? which dealer?

Good Luck again with your new family member

Thanks, where in Brooklyn are you? I used to live in Sheepshead Bay but now have tenants in that apt.. I agree on the tires but plan on swapping them out for non-runflats today hopefully. I did the same thing on my '09 and sold the OEM tires for close to $1k on the marketplace here so will give it another shot. Probably going with the Conti DWS but am open to other suggestions in the next few hours, lol.

I got her at Prestige. I actually used to work there and know a lot of the guys there. I didn't need to shop around because being a Rolls-Royce employee gets you an INSANE deal until January 3rd, 2011 so I just ordered her and waited.

Can't wait to get out and drive her today!

Hey man, how u been? Let's definitely get together soon and keep me in the loop on any events (track days, rallies, etc.). I need advice on mods- which ones and what order. I'm thinking NM springs first.

Went with cloth for this one even though my last one had the lounge leather. This is my commuter car and I liked the red contrast stitching on the cloth enough to embrace the concept of saving some money.

Where in Westchester? I work in Greenwich, CT. Custom plate bracket? Not sure what you mean. I was gonna go with the gominigo style that gets screwed into the tow hook mount when my plates come in but for now I'll milk the temp plate.

Oh right, I read that thread. I know a couple of the guys over there cause I used to work at Prestige Mini. Seem like good people overall but I guess your request slipped through the cracks.

I've never been to that place but I get off at the Byram exit everyday to get to work. Any good?
