JCW or CooperS ?

Hey!
I'm a new meber (from Germany) and my first post is a question ^^

Every time, I see a factory-JCW, the JCW-emblem at the front is at the bottom.
My factory JCW was delivered with the JCW-emblem at the upper grill (which is connected with the engine hood).
Is it possible that it is 'just' a Cooper S with JCW-kit ?
Are there any hints that show me, that I can be a proud owner of a 211hp-JCW?
I hope you re able to understand my bad english skills ^^

Greetings from Germany!

Edit: For visualization:

i believe that the badge on the back of the car replaces the cooper s badge instead of being in the left side.

If your car has a Cooper S badge on the back, it's a Cooper S. If that's the case, the only thing you can be certain of is that you have a Cooper S with JCW badges on it. If you only have a JCW badge on the back, you probably have a JCW, but the only way to be certain is to contact your nearest dealer with your vehicle ID number and ask them to confirm which model you have.

Consequently because of this picture I can be relatively sure to have an
original JCW?

Is the shift pattern on the shift **** red? That would be factory JCW. Do you have the big brakes but not the slotted rotors? That would be factory JCW. Do you have the JCW exhaust without the JCW emblem stamped on the tips? That would be factory JCW. Is there no markings under the hood distinguishing that it is a JCW? That would be factory JCW. Finally, did you call a dealer and have them check your VIN? They can definately tell you if it is a factory JCW, JCW kit, or total knockoff.

In conclusion I think we can say that it is an original JCW.

If it was a JCW kit added to a MCS it would probably have a plaque under the hood denoting the JCW kit with a serial # on it. The factory JCW has no JCW markings in the engine bay.

badge in front

I guess that because of that you have air ducts in the lower grille , they moved the badge to the upper grille instead.. I did so when I changed to the newer air ducts in the lower part.

That's a counterfit JCW. Make sure it has the Recaro seats installed along with the cars "papers" signed over to me and ship it right away.

Don't worry, I'll take care of the "disposal fees".
