New 2023 Owner Waving hello

Hello My Mini Peeps! Just wanted to formally introduce myself and say hello. last month I took a 2023 sidewalk edition for a test drive and purchased it. This is not my first Mini ...I had a 2010 pepper white vert and love that one also but it got traded for another vehicle. I always loved the way it drove so recently saw an ad with this for sale and took a test drive. Biggest difference because of health issues ...I could no longer buy a manual! But this was equipped with dual clutch which is pretty great. IHave driven standards my whole life so my left foot is still antsy. It is really a beautiful vehicle and feel very lucky to get in it everyday and just drive the snot out of it!! I plan to wrap the vehicle this week in Xpel ultimate and then do a ceramic over that....the dealership said they diid the diamond coat already but I am 80% highway daily...so I full well know I need to do more for errant rocks/sand etc.. Anyway here are the pics from the day I purchased. More to come.

After my test drive ...They detailed it before I took it home

Thanks James1980, one of the reasons why I liked it! I know it’s been out since 2021 maybe even earlier… but I haven’t seen one yet until this!

Very jealous of the color and equipment spec! Congrats on snagging a beautiful car.

So This week with the nice weather..I wrapped the entire Mini with the pre-cut Xpel Ultimate and she came out pretty good mostly...had a few spots that are questionable but overall very happy with it. Took almost 10 hours, yup way too long but it's covered from the elements. Next when there are a few days without rain ..I will give her a few coats of ceramic to further protect the laminate. Here are a few pics ..one just starting ..two finished.

That looks identical to the 2022 Mini we just bought this afternoon. It's our first Mini and first convertible, so we'll have lots to learn. Hope it's as fun as my sister's MGB I was allowed to drive as a teenager, back in the 1960s, but perhaps with more mechanical reliability.
