Hello MINI Lovers
Hi Everyone, At the recomendation of two total strangers ......Go Go
test drive a mini as they were standing next to theirs,.. Loved the way The mini looked.....and these folks reminded me of the guys I used to run 2002's with same cool vibe......
well the test drive blew me away car is so lite feeling yet so planted on the road great motor sound. Cool cockpit .... I'M Hooked but I can't get this scary thought out of my head this electro dependant thing is going to strand me in the middle of no where? I can't seem to trust the massive dependance this car has on electro everything
are these cars reliable ???? like toyota mr-2 reliable ???
I would love some feedback. Mark

Thanks for the welcome,
Hi Batgirlwildcat and Donna/Mike ;
I am Thinking Cooper S, are the Coopers {non S} a little easyier to maintain,
and how long can expect the turbo or supercharger to last? I know myself if it is there "Power" I am going to use it

I've not owned the Cooper myself - just the MCS but I am not aware of either model being easier to maintain than the other. The Cooper has a tad bit less horsepower - the bottom line cost is cheaper - higher gas mileage.
Drive them both is the answer. See what YOU like...only you can decide...

Hi! Welcome to NAM!
I spoke with one owner who has both an MC and an MCS. She said that in her Cooper, she doesn't pass other drivers on narrow roads, but has no problems at all doing that in her MCS. One seems to be a more relaxed drive, and the S has that extra boost of power. (For what it's worth. . .)

Yes passing in the blink of an eye,
Thanks for the note Scoopmama,
Yes, the S is such a rush,
the turbo really splashes the revs on the tach, were the cooper is much more readable as revs rise This I've Noticed.
