TIL: Mood Lighting Cycle

Today, while showing some features to a relative, I found that if you hold down the mood lighting toggle for a few seconds it will set the mood lighting onto automatic loop and cycle through all the colors while driving. My new favorite mode.

Ahh, thanks! I know this has been mentioned before in a prior thread but I couldn't for the life of me find it. I kept looking through the settings stuff to try and get the cycle to work.

Is there anyway to up the brightness on the mood lighting? I find at night the red/orange of the instrument panel is brighter than the mood lights, so everything ends up red/orange anyhow... so I switched to that color on the moods =)

I have the 8 inch Nav screen. So I can go to settings and can change the brightness of the center ring and mood lighting separate. Not sure exact path to change it but I can get that when I go on break today

Ok great, I've got the XL too, found the center ring brightness but never the mood, I'll take a look as well tonight!

I find myself changing the default every other week or so. My norm is the orange red to match the rest of the gauges. Second is the light yellow green. My granddaughter likes bright blue, bright green and bright red. LOL.

It took me a week or so to figure out how to change the brightness on the center ring. I haven't found the brightest adjustment for the mood lighting. I have the XL. I will have to watch this thread for instructions. I will take a peak at the settings tonight.

Okay. So I just looked and it is under
Settings>lighting >interior lighting: brightness.
That controls all of the mood lighting besides the center ring.

Ha, just found that myself on my drive home. I already had it at max, still seems pretty dim to me, but I guess its supposed to be subtle. Guess I could turn the brightness of the instrument cluster down.

I agree that it is too dim. Too bad I didn't get the mini yours pack with more mood lighting :(

Thanks!! The lighting cycled in the car I test drove and thought it was too much fun to not have. When I took delivery I couldn't figure out how to do it.

Thus far I've been changing the colors whenever. Sometimes I even let my 3 year old vote for what color he wants.

I'm not sure if it matters much but I have the smaller screen.

I had a fibre-optic lamp that did the same thing.
