What now?

Over the last couple of years I have added the JCW tuning kit to my 2017 f57. I also added a Dinan Elite tuner, an Arma cold air intake, strut tower brace, driving lights, new stripes, blacked out chrome, and have replaced the hood scoop, door handles, side scuttles and gas cap all in carbon fiber. Where do I go from here? I don't care for black rims and don't want to lower it. I can't think of anything else so are there any suggestions?

Just a few things that really transformed my car... larger rear sway bar (NM 25mm), chassis braces (Cravenspeed Big Pair), and lighter wheels (NM RSE05). The combination of lighter wheels and stiffer chassis really wakes up the handling. Oh yes ... get rid of the runflat tires. I really like the Continental ExtremeContact Sport max performance summer tires (good for 30+ thousand miles), or Continental DWS06 all seasons. Pay attention to tire weight; these cars are very sensiteve to wheel/tire weight ... the less the better.

Run flats long gone

Got rid of the run flats at about 12k miles. .I've been curious about a rear sway bar but I don't know much about them. Thanks for the idea.

Get some light weight rims and tires. Biggest improvement you can make for handling and actually add WHP and wheel torque. I purchased some Enkei rims:
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...int&tab=wheels
and some Conti extreme contact non-runflat tires and dropped 32 lbs of unsprung weight. Netted my appox 10 more WHP and Torque by doing this and really livened up the car's handling.

FWIW the new conti tires (replacing the Extreme Contact DW) increased in weight by 1 pound per tire, so you'll need to check other manufactures tire weights to get to the 32 lb mark. I think Pirelli makes a nice light weight 17" tire that matches the older Conti tire weight and has decent wear.

Many guys spend money on engine tunes, exhaust and intakes and then throw some fancy looking boat anchor rims on the car that actually suck out performance.

My $.02

Thank you

The new rims and tires are probably the next step. I have to be careful that the wife doesn't realize how much money is in this car. May have to wait a while.

Big brake kit
Larger rear sway bar
Chassis braces
Lightweight wheels - plenty of options that aren't black
I'm not aware of any coilovers that don't lower so you might be out of luck there
Control arm bushings
Lower engine mounts
Short shifter if manual
Downpipe
Front mount intercooler
Bavsound speakers & subs
Intake and boost hardpipes

These are what I can come up off the top of my head.

Just to ensure you are impoverished for as long as possible, may I point out that the JCW Pro coil-overs can be run at OEM height. My car is down only 13 mm front and 10 mm rear, and the performance and ride quality are outstanding.

I started out OEM (Sport Suspension), then went to Bilstein B8 shocks (same springs), then through a mad misadventure I put the JCW Pro on and never looked back.

So if the bar and the wheels and tires don't break you, just keep on going!

Cheers,

Charlie

Konis work at stock height. Either yellow or the special smooth street ones, forgot the name. FSD or something? Use OEM springs to stay at stock height, either the ones you have now, or JCW / Sport Suspension.

JCW Pro should be fine at stock height, as mentioned. Or try just a teensy bit lower? And I bet the KW Street Comfort are fine at stock height too.

I agree on rear sway bar, though I would recommend the NM 22mm or VIP motorsports. 25mm might be a big much, especially on stock or mildly upgraded suspension.

Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions. Now I just have to figure out what I can afford and get away with.
Again, Thanks

I recently did the WMW 25mm rsb and man does the car want to rotate now. I definitely need to get out for some HPDE.

I have the 25mm NM rear sway bar and find that is is almost perfect with stock suspension. That said, I have it on the softest setting. Another consideration is weight, the 25mm bar is hollow while the 22mm bar is solid.
