Suspension Just installed a dinan strut tower, and now...
The insulation is probably hitting the strut tower brace. I have heard of people getting the insulation wet and then closing the hood to let it mold over the bar. Also heave heard of people using a razor knife to remove it where it makes contact with the bar.
Doesn't the insulation double up as a fire retardant? I hear its designed to melt over the motor un case of fire.
Why not just cut the areas the hits the strut bar?

Just installed the Dinan strut tower brace and had a very slight bonnet bulge. So as recommended I wetted and then additionally steamed the bonnet insulation area over the brace with distilled water, covered the brace with foil, closed the bonnet and voila no bulge. I will let it set a while to mold to the brace. FWIW.
