Lug Nuts!!! M14x1.5

OK, I'm going to be doing the wheel stud conversion to M14x1.5 and now I'm trying to look for lug nuts. Can anyone recommend a good brand? Preferably blue too, would be nice.

Seen some on Amazon and eBay just not sure on who to trust.

Blue would be M12 in aluminum.
They don't make reliable M14, because blue would be aluminum, and wont hold the 105 ft lb torque we need.

I did the same search, that size is hard to come by. I ended up getting them from a drift shop in California. I’ll get the name when I get home

i went with these lug nuts: https://www.cjponyparts.com/WHLLN35/...d-0050568938fc

1) closed-ended is better than open-ended. i have experience with the studs seizing onto the lug nuts when i had open-ended. since i've switched to closed-ended, i have not had any seizing issues.
2) i like the 1" grip at the end of the lug nut. easier to hand-spin the lug nut on before zipping them with your impact gun.

edit: fwiw, i use 78mm studs and it clears the above mentioned lug nuts.

OP, Where did you find a stud conversion kit to go from BMW's M14x1.25 to the more standard M14x1.5?

I just ordered my set from Jerry at NM. Haven't had a chance to install yet. They are made to work with the NM wheels I have.

Hate to break it to you, but that stud kit you posted a link to on ECS will not work with your car. It is for cars with M14x1.5 bolts. Not our M14x1.25 bolts. I have yet to find a kit to go M14x1.25 (short end into the hub) to M14x1.5 for the nuts. I cant see the WMW link as he locked his site from non-US IP's. he very well may have the proper kit, but he wont deal with us Canadians.

Thanks RLM,
I was thinking the same thing, the person from ECS said they should work but I was doubting them. They arrived yesterday but I haven't checked them, your probably right though. I'm going to order the other ones instead. Here's a pic for you Canadians...

This site has a lot of good stuff. They have the conversion studs to 1.5. I believe elsewhere on the site they have all the different lengths too. I got some ball-seat adapter from them to run on my Audi / Fuchs wheels.

Hello,

Who did you talk here as those stud kits you linked are for VW/Audi as the fitment (see fitment below it)? MINI is 14x1.25. https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2014-...,_-and-_Nuts/2

Not for MINI unless you are tapping new holes in the hub and doing something custom. Maybe they thought you were doing something custom.

If you need something out of the ordinary for MINI let me know. We can work to get it.
