Coolant/antifreeze level

Know when you go to the dealer for maintenance and they put 'Topped at Fluids' should that include the coolant/antifreeze level?
So I opened up the coolant/antifreeze reservoir and it's not near the min/max line. In fact its much lower. I did check after at least a 8 hour cool down. I do have a tune and it was like this before the tune also. Couldn't get a great shot cause I would have to remove the intake to see the whole tank.
Do I need to add more or am I ok the way it is?

The level I see from the angle I'm in.
Without the red line.
With flash to see that its below the min.
Without a flash.

Thanks. Was starting to think it was 'normal' since no one replied.
So then got to put some in there.

I would think sooner rather than later, Demin water if you have no proper coolant or antifreeze to hand.

Mine was like this too. Had 15k miles. I just topped it with distilled water. I don’t think the dealer can top this especially when engine is warm.

I am always adding a tiny bit to our R60. I think the crappy reservoir connection weeps some now and then. Not sure if the F series is similar

Mine was below min too even when it's still warm (the level is usually a bit higher when warm than when cold). Had dealer check and they replaced auxiliary water pump. Not sure if this fixed the problem since I haven't checked since then.

My 2005 R52S is running hotter this year and I don't know why. It could be because I am just paranoid. My normal around town, including stop and go, is IA=100-120 w188=215. Now, stop/go/town is up to IA 115=165 w190=224 max. I made a dipstick for my tank so the level stays the same. Does anyone have any tips for lowering the temps? It seems that the mini engine is very heat sensitive. I am going to get the coolant flushed in Aug. He is also adding something to lower coolant temps. I don't remember the name but I read about on the Detroit Tuned website.

Hello all, nor trying to hi jack the thread, but, is there a special coolant that we need to use in our car (mine is 2015 F55 s)? I saw a for European car 50/50 Anti freeze from Walmart made by Prestone. Is this safe to use it in our car? Thanks

From the description it sure looks like it would work with a MINI. I prefer to stick with OEM and not mix brands but it probably is the same chemical composition.
