Antifreeze/Coolant in a MCS?

Greetings all,

Was washing up SPOON today and thought I'd check the coolant level. Seems I'm a bit low. I looked in the owner's manual and saw that we had to ask the dealer what additives were allowed in the MINI.

Does anyone use additives? If so then what kind? Is there also a special kind of coolant or antifreeze that I should be using as well? What's everyone else out there use?

Thanks for any replies. SPOON will love you for it.

If I remember right, I use Water Wetter. Its a red fluid and it seems to help. We just went through a heat wave here where temps were up to 116 deg...at least that's what my wife and my MINI 's thermometer indicated. No problems at all driving in that heat that day and you can bet that the air was on.
