Back on the MINI scene with a 2015 F55

I'm glad to be back in the seat of a MINI and what a difference coming from a 2003 Cooper S to a 2015 F55 S. I love all the little features it has! And especially the JCW goodies (wheels, steering wheel, scuff plates).

Thanks, a light leather interior is a must have in Alabama. Or cloth. Dark leather gets real hot sitting in the sun all day.

Also started coding some options. I coded the rear fogs to work with brake lights until I can get a switch panel with the rear fogs option; 15 minute memory for driving modes; memory for auto start/stop; other little convenience features I can't recall at the moment. I'm LOVING this car!

Welcome Back

My obsession started in 2003 with a special ordered MCS. And then the usual mods followed. I think I coined the phrase “pulley party” when the miestro Randy Webb was working his majic.

I had had life and career changes that mandated big boy cars for many years after my R53. About 6 months ago I scored my 2016 unloved (6 speed manny, slick top, sports package) languishing on the lot and stole it - in my mind. $10k off sticker.

Almost every mile since then has been in sport mode with a smile. Great to be back in the MINI fold and really enjoying motoring again.

Enjoy your new best friend.

I bought a 2003 MCS in 2013 and kept it for a few years until my ex-wife decided she needed a big SUV instead of her 2014 fusion (that she bought new, so she couldn't trade it in) so I had to trade the MINI in, and I got stuck with the fusion. The fusion was a decent economy car, cheap to maintain and reliable, but has no soul, no fun factor. Now I finally had it paid down enough to trade it in for another fun car and jumped on the chance.

Now I'm motoring on and loving every mile.
