My 2016 MC ac has a sweet smell on startup...more of a typical coolant odor, not the moldy smell some owners get. It did seem to be losing a bit of coolant a few weeks ago, but that appears to have stopped. Any thoughts?

Has your car been into dealership for a service recently? They check the cabin filters and if yours was showing any mold, they would have replaced and perhaps used a bit of their BMW sanitizer. Sweet smell, yes, but leans more towards the "minty" bouquet

start simple, pull the cabin filter and take a look/sniff

cheap and easy to replace

AND check your coolant level!

Unexplained coolant loss is potentially the big deal here. Still under warranty?

It's due for an oil change soon, so I'll get it all checked out. I was looking to see if there was any insight based on others experience. Yeah, under warranty, so I'm not worried. It's just nice sometimes to already have an idea of the issue before going in. Thanks for the feedback.
