Trim Mold?

So, this stuff has been lingering on my girl for quite a few months now and it's to the point that it's just making me upset. It goes around the top trim between the roof and the windows.
I'm not sure what it is really, I've tried scrubbing it with Dawn and a few different car cleaners to no avail.
Any body have any clue what this stuff is and how to get rid of it?

It is just the rubber oxidizing. Not sure on how to stop it. Maybe a rag with a light grease or something to keep moisture in the rubber.

What kind of grease would work best do you think?

If it is indeed oxidizing - Try "WipeNew'ing" it. Just saying from my experiences thus far, that stuff has been working great! Actually started a seperate thread about it a little while back. + You can pick it up at your local Walmart these days. Its a little pricey, but really does seem to be making everything that I've thrown at it so far "New" again.......

Maybe something like Gummi Pfledge? I've never used it, but my future brother-in-law wouldn't stop talking about it one day.

I know that I've already mentioned you trying out this WipeNew stuff, but I was able to take a few "decent" pictures of Before & Afters, of the exact part of the car that your trying to clean-up, so if curious check out this exact post in the "WipeNew" thread below: (Your top trim pieces will be in the last couple pics). Hope this helps bud!
