Will a grill badge hide the S on the F56S grill?

My wife has a 2015 F56, non S, and prefers the look of the S grill. Unfortunately the "S" is molded into the grill. Since there's currently no other option for a replacement grill for the regular F56, I'm looking for possible options to use the S grill. Can anyone with a grill badge see if one could be used to cover the "S"?

Why not just black it out with some matte vinyl? 99% of the people wont even see it unless you tell them or show them.

That's definitely an option, but she's already got a couple of grill badges and hiding the S completely would be preferable.

I guess if you could get a badge big enough that would mount close to the S it could work.

You just wouldnt be able to insert the post in the center of where the S is though.

The style of badge holder she has uses a Velcro strap to secure the badge around the grill slats, so there wouldn't be a post involved.

Best to do a search for Grille badges Mini Cooper and see what pops up. Get a measurement of the "S" on the grille and buy somethat will will fully cover it.

as OP seems to already know

"standard" magnetic grill badges (available from many sources) are 3 inches in diameter. Most badge holders have a border/rim/lip making them approx 3.5 inches in diameter. OP mentions using a holder that attaches with a velcro strap and IS 3.5 diameter (gobadges.com)

SO question is will a 3.5 inch diameter disk cover the molded in S sufficiently .....

As mentioned in the previous post it will work. I hated the Justa front grill so I swapped it out with the JCW. In order to not look like a big dumb faker I removed the badge and used the above mentioned badge in its place and it worked perfectly. If you get right up on the grill and you know what you are looking for, then yes you can tell, that is splitting hairs.

this grill? insert shows holding a standard 3 inch diameter magnetic badge against the "S" a holder would add another 1/2 inch diameter typically
