Awesome! We ordered our MCS with the JCW Pro Tuning Kit. It is at the port being installed and hope to be able to pick our new MINI up early next week.

Thats what most people are doing. That sound is killer in valve open mode= track mode.

I let them put the stickers under the hood, but did not put the JCW badge on the boot. Want to keep it a secret, although the tips kind of give it away.

Awesome! I'd love to hear from the inside how the exhaust sounds in track mode (valve open).

The sounds is incredible. It makes me smile every time I press that little button on the remote to open the valve

That's my routine. Get in the car. Make sure it's in neutral. Start the engine, select sport, and double tap the bluetooth controller. Oh Yeah! Love the way the sound deepens even when idling and warming the engine.

Mine came with a round foam piece that fits in a cup holder. It has a hole in the middle for the controller.

Whoever installed it probably thought it was just packing for the controller and threw it away.

JCW Exhaust Button Holder

Here is what it looks like.....it would be pretty easy to make your own if you threw it away. It's a good location too.

Fill in in with foam. You can cover when not in use.

When I was having mine installed, the dealer told me about a customer that had left the remote in the car, someone smashed his window and stole the remote, nothing else. The remote has to be ordered from Germany and programmed to the car.

For now, mine is in foam holder in the cup holder, but I am toying with the idea of finding a spot for it that is hidden but reachable.

Mine is on a small keychain and just looped around the shifter. I do like the idea of hidden in the cup holder, will have to look if I still have the foam piece. Pretty sure I kept the box somewhere.

Sure is fun to push that button twice

I think its best to keep it on your key chain at its design with a tether and can hook of the key chain loop , that way you can take it with you. Of course you will need another key loop to hold it.

Yep, you can put it on your keychain. Better have cargo pockets though. IMO the Mini key fob is too big to begin with, but add house keys and the Blue tooth fob and you're talking about a real handful. No upside to carrying it with you and no downside to leaving it in the car.
What could be handier than photo number 1? The other picture is of the foam piece itself.

Yes, and / or big pockets, but you will not get it stolen or lose it. I would hate to also see someone spill there cup on its from the other side in a " Hold on to your life " MINI Cooper maneuver. Good idea, the clam-shell cup would work to hide and protect it. When I saw that #1 , it reminded me of the " Pull to inflate " sticker on the rear / front tow hook most owners like.

Think its a great ideas in placement and looks like it should be there in foam. But a built in system switch might have been best , but then you cant change it outside the car , which ruins the fun of listen to the sound change in the parking lot .

I take the whole compartment with me sometimes or keep it on the back cup holder.
