I was able to get roughly $2000 off mine. I used a bunch of the promos that are out right now, USAA, Loyalty, and the Defy Super Bowl commercial promo and I had the dealer use some Motor Tokens. It basically covered my taxes and other fees. I am on the other side of the country on the east coast and my dealer had to get the car from a another dealer 75 miles away because I wanted a manual. I pick it up on Friday night.
Thats a good deal.

I am curious and i forgot to ask my dealer, are the Carbon Edition VIN specific or is there anything in the VIN that shows it's a Carbon? Anyway to find out what your build number is out of the 150 made? Say like mine is #102 out of 150 produced?
Not sure if you know which # out of 150 when you get the car and on the sticker or when you pull up the VIN, it just shows up as one line item: "Carbon Edition Accessories" with option code ZCB. Otherwise, everything else looks like any other 4-door black on black Hardtop.

They might be able to call internal MINI production and find out.

If I am not mistaken it was only 150 to the U.S. For the first year they made them which was 2016 of which I have one of these! I think after that it was slated for 500 per year to the U.S. which is still pretty rare I think.
Hi this is zipitydoda from earlier in this post. My screen name changed to Camptown, same guy. In the 2 plus years I have owned my 2016 Carbon Edition I have not seen another one in person. That includes going on Mini Takes The States back in 2016, and a few other local Mini events. I would say they are pretty unique and not too many of them out there.
Not that I don't already feel great about my purchase but your info you just passed on makes me feel that much better. Still would be awesome to have some sort of Carbon registry to get some sort of an idea of what number we have. Maybe a Carbon registry thread on here would be cool as well for those who do have one.
Picked up a 2016 Carbon
My wife and I just had a 2016 Carbon Edition transferred in from another CarMax and quickly bought it. 25k miles. Really clean. Once accident to do with the front end, but the appraiser pointed out all the parts that were removed or replaced. The hood was removed, but it was still original and unpainted, so he thinks it was probably just a really low speed / parking lot accident. And that accident was in 2016.
I’m looking at upgrading the brakes, possibly retrofitting the backup camera, and picking up rally lights.
For ten years we had a 2004 Cooper bought new. Regretted giving it up. It needed like $4500 in repairs (Pittsburgh winters and potholes really destroyed it), so we traded it in on a X3. And in 2015 I wanted the 4Door F55 s, but the price was 10k more than the VW GTI I ended up with. After 85k miles in 3 years, we’re selling the GTI now that we have the Carbon.
