Playing audio from iPhone via Bluetooth

Hey there everyone, I'm wondering if I'm able to play music from my iPhone 6 in my MINI (standard radio) via Bluetooth?
And if so, how do I go about doing that?
Thanks!

No you can't, you need the Wired/Connected XL package, that includes Enhanced Bluetooth, without that your options are using your USB port or the Aux port. The only Bluetooth functionality is for phone only.

Yeah that was one of the top items on my list when I upgraded to my current Mini, I spent time in a few cars on the lot until I found ones that met all my wants. I don't know why they don't just add the gear it wouldn't be that much more to do. With an iPhone though you should be ok with using the USB and Aux ports.

Hi, has anyone had any luck with this? Someone said it was impossible, but my rational mind tells me if you can connect phone calls and receive audio from bluetooth for a call, then its gotta be a configuration or settings issue.

Any different input someone?

the combox is what handles bluetooth audio. you would need to purchase/install it and then enable the bluetooth audio in e-sys coding.

combox is about $300

Thanks for the input, I finally gave up on this "native" solution, and went with aftermarket tune2air, works like a charm. I have 2 cellphones (one work assigned, one personal), and I am able to use the unlimited data work phone for music streaming and my personal phone for incoming/outgoing calls over bt.

I've been using Tune2air on my '08 Clubman (with iPhone 5s, 6, & 6s) for about 2 years now. Perfect unless you are streaming from like Pandora or iheart, then if you ever skip a song, it only displays (on the Mini) the last song before you skipped. But for on phone playlists , etc, it works and sounds fantastic. (Like most know, the built in Bluetooth only worked very poorly with most phones for calls) . Looking forward to the real deal on my 2016 Clubbie with Tech package.
