DDC question

I live in a city and during the summers run 18" rims and performance summer tires. I have trashed 2 tires with potholes. Lately at times on the bad stretches I turn on the soft suspension using eco mode. Problem is that the throttle response gets remapped making the car very slow off the lights unless I put my foot all the way to the floor.
Anyone know if there is a way to stop this happening? I really don't use eco mode and just want to be able to change shock settings.

MID mode will have the same suspension settings as GREEN. There are only two settings and SPORT is the only mode where the suspension changes.

I have the DDC and it is three setting Green is softest, Mid is 10 % stiffer and Sport is another 10% stiffer - so 20% difference between Green and sport. That said , have also searched for Throttle control setting for each mode and have not had any success. May need to be coded.

I can assure you DDC has only two settings - 10% softer and 10% stiffer (in relation to the stock F56 suspension) with SPORT mode being the only mode you can configure.

This has been confirmed by MINI master techs and technical documents. I don't have access to the full document anymore, but it stated that MID and GREEN have the same suspension settings. I managed to keep a picture from the technical manual of a cross section of the DDC and how it works that clearly show DDC is physically only capable of two settings:

- Two sets of valves that regulate internal oil flow that are open/closed by a spring controlled by a ferromagnetic core
- When resting, the DDC is technically in SPORT. A charge is needed to open the valves into the softer setting.

This is what I have been led to believe. More like Medium is like standard suspension. Sport is +10% Eco is -10%. If you ordered sport suspension that is +30.

Next time I'm coding I'll take a look. I remember reading somewhere that the +10 and -10 numbers can be tweaked. I'll look for throttle response values.

This is very interesting information. If I had know this I would have ordered sport suspension! Thanks Mate!

Semantics I say. -10, base setting and + 10 can be seen as three settings or as standard with two settings. Can't wait to play with them when my wife's new Mini shows up and she isn't looking!

Not semantics. DDC equipped MINIs have TWO settings. The 10% +- is how those settings compare to the stock suspension on MINIs without DDC. If you weren't comparing they would just have a "stiff" and a "soft" setting

I suspect that normal is 10% softer than the non-DDC shocks and sport is 10% stiffer. Only two settings available with DDC shocks. Edit: I now see that was said while I was posting.

Technical training docs for the 2016 BMW X1 (same chassis platform) are available here:

Someone could confirm whether the X1 and MINI DDC shocks are identical part numbers. Dinner and the NBA are calling.

Can you tweak a closed valve to be more closed (I suppose it's possible if it's not fully closed)
I'll buy it if you can

Some of the stiffness values attributed to sport suspension must include the swaybars

A Sprint Booster would definitely help with the slow off the lights problem, and it comes with a 30-day money back guarantee.

Different part #s, but setup is exactly the same.

GregoryK, how about putting the shift lever over to the left?

On my 2015 w/ DDC I can adjust my sport to -10% in the setting. Since I don't autox I have mine set to -10% in all modes.
