My 2014S back to the shop once again

This dang car is killing me. It breaks and I get pissed off and I get over it and it breaks once again. First was the transmission which took forever to fix then less than a week back from that the wiring harness shorted out. About a month ago the headlights came up with a code and turns out a wire got pinched from the reinstall of the transmission. Then yesterday get in it to go home and my damn sunroof won't open. I'm like a a abused person that keeps going back to the person that hits them. Now got to take another day off work and drive 2 hrs for service. Can't trade no good trade in value. Over a year old so can't lemon it. Rant over for now! I love my MINI but damn this is insane.

What state are you in? How many miles

Did you s/w customer service and express your displeasure maybe request a trade assist into a new car ( as opposed to you just trading it in )

I feel ur pain. Been there done that

Mine had the sunroof issue before. All the dealer did was press the start button once (accessories on) and then held the sunroof button open for 30 seconds and then closed for 30 seconds and that fixed the problem.

Hey VYPUR, If you're in Huntsville, are you going to B'ham or Nashville for service?

Glad to hear you sunroof problem was resolved easily. Great forum with lots of good folks willing to help.

As I've gotten older, I've found that suffering through constant frustrations (with any product) is not worth it in the long run. Hard to put a price tag on happiness. Lately, I rid myself of those frustrations and move forward with something else and amortize any expense over the long term verses my happiness and peace of mind.

Hoping your problems with the MINI are over and you can get back to that "happy place" we all want to reside in.

Happy Motoring
