Thanks==that's pretty light.....think I'll squeeze 205s on them and use them for track wheels.

I would worry that 205s on a 5.5J rim will be wobbling around like 'jello on springs'* - and not in a good way.

I agree it's not the greatest, but until somebody comes up with some lightweight 15" wheels for these cars it might be the only alternative, unless I opt for 16s which I really don't want to do.

Why did they have to change the hubs from 4- to 5-bolt?! I've got 7 nice Kosei K4rs from my R56 that won't work on the new car.

Yea, new design on the wheel hub to 5x112. They wanted to go to the 5 lug design.

Some aftermarket ones here from NM Engineering , pretty light for the size.

The NM engineering wheels are currently in 18"s

I know the suffering of shopping for track wheels for this car...been there and agonized way too long on the subject. I ended up with 17" OZ Alleggeritas with 215/45 sticky rubber.

If all else fails I'll probably go with that wheel in a 16....that or just buy a used R56!

ever heard of mercedes "clk lightweights"?

They are 16x7 ET37 and weigh 13lbs. The only issue is they take a M12 stud/bolt and our cars take M14. There are stud kits on the market which are made for this but then you have to source lug nuts...

it's a cool idea and I almost did it but just found a bargain on my OZ so I didn't.
