I've had my 2015 Mini S for 4 days now, and there's no burble and pop to the exhaust like there was on my last gen car. How VERY disappointing!

I have a love/hate relationship with this new car. It's clearly NOT a mini.

 

There definitely is.
If you mean the pop when downshifting from 4th-3rd or 3rd to 2nd. Then there definitely is burble and pop to the exhaust.

 

If that's so - I've yet to hear it.

 

I think only in Sport mode does it happen. But I drove my friends F56 MCS in Sport briefly and didn't even hear the exhaust at all. The car is quieter than the R56. You may have to break it in a little before you hear it. You also have the Active Sound feature which supposedly plays some motor sounds through the speakers all the time. You can't turn that off. I guess it's been in BMW cars for awhile.

 

What was your car prior to this one?

 

Are people really still complaining that the F56 isn't a "real" mini?

Be in sport mode, the exhaust HAS to be warmed up as well. If you dont believe its there, rev the engine up to 4-5k and let off the throttle.

Roll down your windows, you'll hear it...

just ask my neibhors. mine sounds like its throwing cherry bombs with my cat delete mquebed downpipe an no 2nd cat reso or muffler.

I'm gonna need a vid of this setup ASAP! You are essentially running a completely open exhaust? as in no restriction after the turbo?

 

I'm sure the local police would be interested in knowing that as well.

 

im old and not tech savvy so i dont know how to do vids. im going to a mini meet in overland park on the 28th maybe i can get somebody to help with that.
