What happened to the spoiler option on 2015 F56?

Hi guys,

I was finalizing the the packages and options before I visit the dealers to order my first Mini and I noticed that the rear spoiler option has disappeared ?!?!? I am pretty sure that it was there a few months back when I first started thinking of getting an MCS. Was it available on 2014 but not 2015 models now? Makes me very sad ! BTW, anyone dealt with MINI Of Boston, Herb Chambers dealer?

It does appear to be gone. I'd ask your dealer about it as it seems like a strange option to remove.

Do you have a part number. When I bought my R56 the cost of the spoiler was way expensive. Later, I purchased one from Outmotoring at a saving. They come primed, had it painted & saved $150 over having the dealer do it. 10 minute install. Hope that will happen with the F56.

No part number, mine was factory installed.

I used to live in Boston - purchased 2 MINIs and 1 BMW from Herb Chambers. Super happy with sales and service. Sales rep I worked with there now works at Peabody.

At HC MINI, Mark Ravin, the MINI Service Rep/Manager has been there since the opening and he knows his stuff!

Not sure why the rear spoiler disappeared from the Configurator. Weird. And although the rear spoiler IS there for the 4-door, the roof rails are missing from that model. Frustrating.

Roof rail is missing in the configurator, but you can order it regardless. I ordered my 4-door with roof rail option.

It looks like the options is 325 [S325A].

Also in the JCW trim package 3A1 or [S3A1A].

If they are available.

I lied. I saw it on the list of things you could but not on the configurator.

Just ordered a 2015 Cooper S last week (Mini of Peabody) and I did not see it in the configurator. Dealer asked if I wanted it and it was $250. I got them to "Throw it in!" The one that comes "Standard" is very small.....

For appearances, right? Probably increases air drag too. I wonder how the stock roof rails looks like in person. Maybe the roof rails will help prevent water splashing over your head when getting in and out in rainy day?

I noticed the rear spoiler was gone from the configurator when I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago. But in the ordering tool the MAs use, it was in there and they can add it to your order.

I think the price was ~250 US.

People already have the JCW aero kit on their F56 and there's no spoiler, there never was in prior years either. You get front and rear bumpers, the painted side skirts, and a wheel and steering wheel upgrade. Pay up!

And since they ONLY just announced the JCW kit, and there is no real details yet I'll hold off passing you cash.
