F55/F56 Anyone Hear Anything??
I requested the Mini certificate. But I think that it just gets given to the dealer. So if you just give the course completion to the dealer, it will work just as well if you had the "Mini discount certificate" they sent me.
The CA mature online course is $24.99. Then google for "driversed.com coupon" and see what you come up with -- I found a 50% off coupon the site took.
And you need to talk to you agent again. If you are 55 and over, it's a state law that they have to offer this small discount for completing a DMV qualified course, and the DriversEd.com online course is DMV qualified.

I am not over 55 so that might explain the discrepancy in information given to me by my agent. She did mention something about being 55+ driver.
Nope. I'm waiting for my salesman to contact me for a change. It seems like he never volunteered information throughout since I ordered but needed my prompting at every step.
Yes, this is a stupid time in the process for me to get obstinate!

my dealer emailed me last night to tell me the cars are moving. I also had an email today telling me exactually where my car is, as it was moved from the Port of Halifax, Canada, to Toronto which is 120 miles from me. The dealer emailed all the shipping codes etc. alone with the letter from BMW Canada showing all their conversations regarding the delivery schedule for it and other cars. The expected arrival at the dealer was "before next Fri".
My dealer is 1 hr away from the NJDC. As of 3p on 2 Oct, they have gotten nothing. Hard to believe.
DriversED: Thanks to the discussion above, I learned about the "official" certificate. Apparently there is such a thing, despite no mention of it in any of the promotional information @ mini. I contacted them today about it. Their first response was "5 days in the mail". That wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear, so after a little pushback, they agreed to fax it to the dealership. YMMV of course, but there may be a couple of people following this discussion that can put this to use.
