F55/F56 Possible Recall - Dynamic Damper Control
I have the DDC in my car but have not heard/seen anything. Did your dealer mention anything details?
Any updates on this potential recall? Which are the issues?
Exactly what I have on the water right now. Did they indicate a timeline for correction? Thanks.
My MA confirmed vehicles that are impacted can not be sold until new parts arrive from Mini. The dealership had 2 cars on their lot which were impacted by the recall. I don't have any specific details other than it impacts some cars with Dynamic Damper Control.

Why wouldn't this show up on the recall lookup tool? Checked my VIN and it's clear.

My MA checked my VIN and confirmed that my car was not one of the affected ones. He didn't have many details on the issue itself other than it was something related to the rear suspension on some cars with the DDC. Apparently cars that are impacted will need to have some portion of it replaced.
Got it. Thanks.
Still in the dark. Dealership is holding car plus others. Dealer is waiting on Mini to supply additional info as to how to verify, what to replace and how to go about it. If I get more info I will post, in the mean time, we get weekend visits to admire our new mini from afar.
Kimini2, thanks for the input, this is very helpful. My MA is also investigating and I'll post anything I hear ASAP. I've asked for full disclosure from my dealership before I will considering purchasing the car.
Not a recall as much as it is just a run of VIN's from those effected on the assembly line in Oxford. I think I only counted about 90 so don't get all your knickers in a tussle....
Although I do not have the details - I now have been told dealerships have received
1. Method to ID if the targeted VINS have the issue
2. Method to remove incorrect part
3. Method to order correct part
4. Method to install correct part
So if you are impacted by Critical Hold Rear Axle Damper Issue, you can press your dealership to look for updates.

Been to the dealer twice this week and no mention of a recall on my MCS w/ DDC.
BTW, those "keys" keep track of all sorts of info. Can't remember if they told me that it keeps track of how many times Launch Control was used -- among many other things, recalls, etc. I think the max is 99 times.
