Anyone out there "Waiting Production" concerned that their Mini will not be produced this month? Apparently MY2015 starts in July and I have been sitting here now for a few weeks. I wonder if I will have to get a 2015 model and rebuild the car. I'm not happy about some of the price increases and I don't want to have to buy a rear view camera. Apparently my MA is in lala land and is clueless.

 

I'm On Order. My order was entered into the system last Friday, May 30.

I'm wondering the same thing, but not really worried about it.

My MA says it'll be a 2014 build. My only curiosity is if it were to be a 2015 build, would the Driver's Assist package be available as an add-on, but not too worried about that, either.

I imagine we'll be scheduled sometime this week.

my order was placed at the beginning of April and it still has no slot. He said that I would have to reconfigure for a 2015.

 

Whoa, that seems extreme. I say that because I ordered on 4/12, and have been tracking status with a bunch of other mid-April orders, and we are all currently taking delivery or waiting on a boat to cross the ocean, but most of us all got our cars produced around 5/20.

Have you pushed back at all? What is the reasoning on that? Is this an incredibly busy dealer, that they ran out of slots for an order placed 2 months ago? Sorry man, that sucks!

 

4/12 order here as well. Taking delivery next week as long as distribution releases it tomorrow as they said they would.

 

That is exactly what I said to the dealer. they have been claiming that there is a back order issue on contrasting roofs and HK systems. I know they are lying but I have no other dealer in the area. I was furious last week when I found out production on the 2015 would be in July because that is what they have been telling me I had to wait til. I am not going to worry about it anymore. I'll wait to reconfigure at the end of June.

 

That's pretty crazy. They had to pull some strings for mine to get HK but we had no issue with contrasting. I think each dealer may get an allotment of new orders and yours may have too many, so they delayed?

I just spoke with MINI USA at the 1-866# and they told me my MINI was scheduled for production at the end of the month. So their plan is to built it before July 1.

 

Sounds about right. I have figured all along that it'd be a mid-July delivery.

 

My build is now scheduled for sometime next week if I believe customer service, with a completion date by the end of the month. This is my second order as the factory changed my roof color from white to body color and the dealer didn't catch the change until after it was built (finished on 5/20 now on a ship)


This second build order was originally listed for a dealer in Florida for a different car, not sure how my dealer in CA got the build slot. I'm figuring I won't see the car until early Aug as it will probably take over a month to get out here to the West Coast

 

I placed my order on 5/30. MINI 866# says my car will be built by 6/13. Woo Hoo!

 

I put my order in 6/1. I was told today that my production would start immediately as a MY2015. I was given a production number. I guess the production on the 2015 has begun. I'm very excited and can't wait.
