Anyone set up the radio programmable button "shortcuts" yet?

I am curious if anyone has set up their programmable (1 through 6) buttons on their radio yet? For those who are not aware these buttons can be set to any menu function and not just radio stations. I have the Connected XL but I think it works on the standard radio as well.

Mine currently are:

1 - Split-screen (makes popping the split-screen function on and off super convenient)
2 - Driving Excitement
3 - Vehicle Status
4 - Trip computer
5 - Owner's Manual (may change this as it really isn't something that needs to be pulled up often and certainly not while driving)
6 - Address for Navigation

This feature is great and all but I wish there were 6 extra buttons :( While i would love to have menu shortcuts and more nav shortcuts (currently only have one), its hard for me to part with actual radio presets. Even though I listen to the radio rarely (I do use Satellite though), its super convenient and time saving to have them.

same here, would have been nice to see more buttons, but I've got 2 radio stations, my wife's phone number, pandora App, media, and for the life of me I can't remember what the other one is.....My wife's number isn't 1 either but she doesn't know it (insert evil laugh)

Mine will be for the TuneIn App (or BMW Webradio, if it's just as good).

Did you know if you touch your finger on the button before actually pushing it the car will tell you what is programmed to that button? At least it does with the connected XL options.

I think my R56 can do that, but how does one do it? I never listen the radio, satellite seems worthless to me.

I like your selections and may go with the same ones.

One thing I have NOT been able to do, even with following the manual, is setting radio station pre-sets. When I try, it will seem to record the pre-set, but when I later press the button it does nothing. I tried several times to do this with absolutely no success. My MA has offered to give it a shot.

I did set one button to an FM station in the normal way (all other buttons set to more important functions). When I push the selected button, the station I set up comes on and a list of available stations with their frequencies and call signs is displayed. This is with FM though. I don't know how it works with satellite as I find no use to using that. 99% of time I'm using my iPod.

I figured out how to do this today. Bring up the list of radio stations (not presets, but the list of all of the radio stations available). Highlight the station you are interested in, but don't click/select it. Now press the preset button (1 - 6) you want to assign the radio station to. Ta Da! If you don't have any luck, let me know. I took photos of each step, or I can also try a youtube video.
