Hazy grey vs dark silver, config vs brochure!?

Did a search and did not find this mentioned. I ordered based on a config and order dark silver. In a brochure I found it showed it as hazy grey. Anyone notice this????

I did notice this and looking at samples at my local dealer it would appear the appearance in the brochure is much closer to what it actually looks like. Frankly I am not sure why they call it "Dark" silver. It's Silver, hehe. With that said I do think it should look pretty sharp if you want a "kinda, sorta" metallic look to your dash.

Too bad my Dealer had no samples. And you are correct, it's Silver, nothing dark about it! That sucks as I don't like Silver.

MINI, fix your Config!!!! And the best part is I paid for Silver and I don't like it.

See pic for reference:

When did you place your order? I believe your MA can make changes to a point... there's a period of time between the order being placed and production begins that changes can be made without resetting your place in the production queue.

Good thought but I placed it April 22 and it is Locked. I tried changing the ext color back from pepper white to moonwalk gray but it was too late. 5-16 build. I hope I can change them out after the fact or learn to live with them and the seats

Ya, that doesn't match your interior well!

I am actually glad mine came with the dark/black one

Mmm, so either hazy grey and dark silver are switched in the brochure or they are switched in the configurator. When you spec hazy grey in the configurator it is a light silver colour like the one showed for dark silver. When you spec dark silver it shows dark like the one showed for the hazy grey...

You said it better than I did!! My MA told me it's only Money and that I can change it out I email MINI and the relations dept, probably didn't even read my helpful request.

I guess I will replace them at my cost or have them wrapped, that would be a unique option!

If this is in fact true, I kind of like the hazy grey now and bonus that it is standard on the Cooper then. I thought it was silvery-looking but if that's actually dark silver, I like hazy grey better. However, I bet if you select the standard hazy grey that you don't get the door bezels too like they did on the R56 standard grey. In that case, I would pick another dash.

No worries
You may love it
The Pearl Black seats show black on the Configurator
They are in fact grey, and not even charcoal grey.
