Love the sound, kinda wish someone would come out with a standard catback without the valve though. But it is nice to be able to quiet it down when needed.

What's the price on the Remus system ?

Lol

$1000 without tips
$1200 with chrome tips
$1600 with carbon tips

You definitely won't see me with one of these... I'll wait for more realistic aftermarket options at less than half the price. Those prices are even worse than the JCW it seems

The Akrapovics with carbon tips go for 2k and I wouldn't be surprised to see the new JCW bi-modal go for around 2k.

I'm with Danger Dan on this. I'm sure there will be many other options available.

Holy crap, that price tag is just for the AXLEBACK? Not a CATBACK?

There's a custom exhaust shop locally to me that has done some really nice work for a few friends. Do nice mandrel bends with stainless steel tubing. I'm going to see what they can put together as far as a simple cat back. Have a feeling it will be pretty low cost (hopefully less than $600 bucks) I'll keep y'all updated

MarcoPolo or R33, how has the Burger Performance tuner been working to date?

Been running strong, no complaint whatsoever.

Anyway for the exhaust discussion, please create another thread.

I just finished with the install and test drive of the BMS B48 tuner and I'm very happy with the results. Easy install and you won't be left wondering if you can feel the difference. The increase in power feels substantial. I definitely recommend this tune.

Big thanks to terry@BMS.

Welcome to the joyride club.
I still can't understand why others still debating on getting the upgrade.

Thanks r33.
I agree. If anybody is sitting on the fence on this it's time to hop off and buy one. You'll be glad you did. The price/performance ratio is fantastic.

Big thanks to terry@BMS.
I did mine about two weeks back and unless you just can't keep right foot off the floor, you'll be pleased to find there's not a lot of negative impact to your fuel economy either. Which is a second big plus to this kit.

Because many of us still worry about voiding the warranty of their cars.

In case of CA owners, it's not allowed to be sold by dang CARB.

Doesn't mean you can't buy it and ship it to a friend in another state and have him send it to you. This thing goes in an out in 10 minutes with no evidence it was there once removed. Just a thought.

It won't void the warranty because you can remove the piece and replace the stock piece in 2 minutes. It just clips into place on top of the engine somewhere, you don't need any tools either.

Personally I find it hard to believe that Mini cannot go into their computer and see something was hooked into the Mini electronics.

I know as an example Ford put out a No-Nonsense statement that any Modification/Change/Addition to the 5.0 Coyote would instantly Void their Factory Warranty.

Some people thought they could as always in the past with the S-197 Mustangs just Re-Load their Stock Tune from the SCT Tuner and all would be A-OK.

They found out the hard-way that the on board computer showed they had changed the factory tune and therefore as they had already been Warned have No-Warranty.

I'll wait for Mini USA to come out with their version of a performance tune.

With Full Warranty !!!

As always each of us is going to do what we are going to do.

I'm just given those that might not know how this could go with an After-Market-Tune.

Just .02 from my 20+ years experience in this automotive industry.
If it wasn't because of the aftermarket industries, all the cars they make will be plain boring.
For example:
- Aero kit (started as aftermarket)
- Adjustable suspension (started as aftermarket)
- Valved or nice sound Exhaust (started as aftermarket)
- Less restrictive air filter (started as aftermarket)
- Engine tunes (started as aftermarket)
- Audio system (started as aftermarket)
- and more....

The big corporation saw that it was a big market (hence SEMA), so they are jumping into the market and killing them with this warranty scheme.

They have successfully killed Audio market and Alarm market.

Again, just my .02

I totally agree with you for the most part.

But ............

Beware of (Now) adding any electronics to a new car as more than likely they can run test to see if you did.
