Has anyone else recently purchased this and can give an update on the performance you are seeing?

I bought one from ebay from seller 'Raydens'. He's one of BT major dealers in Los Angeles. I got the kit the next day and installed within the next 10 mnts. No kidding! That easy! Drove it for a little bit before i gave it 'gas', and boy! I did not regret spending the $400!

let me add to this. i definitely love it....it's one of those mods that you install and just forget that you even installed it. it doesn't make noise like an exhaust or an intake...it's just making the car faster....while at the same time allowing the car to drive like normal. i don't feel it affects the MPG as i've been running fuelly for my last 4 tankfuls and it's averaging 31.5MPG. i actually drive in green mode quite often (pregnant fiance in the car) but when alone, i will stick to mid or sport and even in mid when i press the gas it pulls very nicely. i'm able to pass cars like they're standing still. it was quite fun today driving down from vermont to NYC.

hope that helps.

Is that dyno showing 182hp to the wheels AFTER the tune? werent r56's putting down close to that stock?

Does anyone have other dynos available? I havent been able to find many.

And where is there baseline dyno at? I dont see how they can claim any gains without a baseline dyno available...

Marco - In Driving Excitement mode. Does the center display go past 200hp with the mod installed?
Just wonder if that display reports true output....

no its called driving excitement, and I believe you have to have the upgraded infotainment system to see it so probably why.

i'm one of those weirdos that didn't care about the upgraded entertainment system.

i've been trying to get to a dyno but between my workload and a pregnant fiance, the car has dropped priority.

Never.

Blame CARB (CA air resource board).

My F56 has 3000 miles on it now. I followed your footsteps and bought the

BMS B48 Stage 1 on Ebay. I couldn't buy it direct since I live in CA.

Like you said, fast shipping, and simple to install.

I just got back from my initial test drive on the freeway and local roads. WOW! The added power is very impressive. It seems to pull much stronger through the whole powerband. It's made the funnest car I've ever owned much better. I really need to be careful about speeding tickets.

Kevin.

doubtful any CELs will come of this tune. It is considered a mild tune. Just wait til there are selectable maps for bolt ons/race fuel etc...That's when you start seeing significant power increases which is sometimes accompanied by CELs, diagnosing, and fine tuning.

Will this tune work on top of the JCW Engine Tuning Kit for S, you think?
Or will the little turbo in the S be to stressed then?

does the BMS stage 1 make the engine have progressively more power higher up in the revrange? The standards S "dies" at 5000rpm, I think.

I can't speak to that but in answer to your question, there are a lot of variables that the re-flash has not yet addressed, such as the restrictive OEM airbox and filter and also, I wonder what the compressor map is like on the turbocharger?

In other words, there is only so far a reflash can take the power level until actual hardware mods start to happen.

Hopefully we are not too far off on an intake system. Neuspeed/NM are in progress with one. Honestly I dont think the stock intake is really ALL that bad, but im sure aftermarket will free up a few HP, and at least add some nice sound. Real power gains will be from removing the 2 Cats and replacing it with one high flow system (or deleting them alltogether if thats your thing)

VIP lists a bunch of stuff like intakes, sway bars, etc. on their site and even has pricing but no photos.

I emailed them and the response was that they planned to actually have something to sell in 2015...
