I've found that when I fold my mirrors in to pull up to the mailbox to get the mail, they will automatically unfold once you start driving off.

You guys obviously don't live in a cold bit of the continent. Around zero Celsius is the most dangerous time when it comes to flash freezing and black ice etc...It is a really good feature IMHO! When it is -20 C you don't need to worry as much because the ice will have surface water as it is too cold....so your car will have some grip.
Owe yes. If you are into coding I saw a switch for this feature in the cars software. You can switch it off....but I wouldn't....

My 2006 R50 had this feature, nothing to adjust. Black ice, like they get in Vancouver, is bad!

Live in Colorado where we just got a blizzard, I guess I just find it annoying since I walked outside to get into my car... I'm fairly aware of the ice/cold at that point. I don't mind it myself, it's become game between me and my wife guessing how long from when we leave the garage till the alert goes off

It's actually better than just a mute button. If you're listening to something on your phone over bluetooth, pressing the power button actually pauses the content playing on your phone.

Also these buttons are not just for Radio stations. They can save almost any function you can navigate to. For instance: Sports Gauges, Office Messages, Oil Check, Phone Book etc.....

Hi, first post (I'll do a proper intro in 1st gear in a minute) with something that surprised me - rev matching downshifts on the manual. I just drove my first Mini yesterday, a new MCS, and discovered it had this feature, and I loved it! My question is, is this new for the F55/56 or has it been in Minis for a while? I ask because I have seen no mention of it in any reviews, the Mini site, etc., and that's why I was so surprised when I discovered it had this during the drive.

not sure if this was mentioned...but if someone hasnt' tried it cuz they didn't know or they were too scared to....EZ-Pass works if you keep it in the secret compartment (above glove box). have yet to run into an issue.

So when you approach the car and unlock it with the fob, you can hold down the unlock button and it'll make the windows go down but what do you press to bring them back up? There's a video on YouTube of someone doing this and mine go down but won't retract back up when I hold the lock button.

Things You Didn't Know Your F56 could do:

Depending on the way the car is programmed, you can use the key fob's unlock button to open the windows, and the lock button to close the windows, you can also do the same thing with comfort access buttons just press it to unlock it and keep holding down and it will roll them down, then press it again to lock it and hold it till it rolls them up. This should also work for the sunroof, (i.e. it can be programmed to control the sunroof too.) You're mileage may very.

E-sys coding enables roll up with lock button.

You can press and hold the comfort access button on the door to roll the windows back up. To use the remote (in the US anyway), you have to use ESYS to code the feature in.
