I know man, go ahead and order bc that 3 week wait time is gonna feel like forever. Im stoked bc I really didn't want to have to go with kw v1s without dampening adjustments and very limited ride height adjustment

By the way. BC states that 5mm wheel spacers will be needed to fit these coil overs with stock wheels. Hopefully that will help some of you decide what wheels/offsets will fit with coils

Apparently the new coilovers won't offer camber plates. That's disappointing.

If BC recommend a 5mm spacer, I assume KW will too (no info from KW!)

This means for my 18x8 ET45 wheels to fit a 10mm spacer is going to be needed to equal the same fitment as the OEM rims with a 5mm spacer.

Putting them at 18x8 ET35, which may well be touch and go with rubbing etc I think!! :(

That's too bad. I noticed this in the ebay add for these coilovers, which states "Camber plates front/rear: NA/NA" This is different than what's shown in the ad's picture. I guess the picture is a generic one that shows the camber adjustment.

Here's are my questions. I'm thinking about buying these same BC coil-overs and lowering the car about 1-inch or less. In this case, are camber plates advised? Does BC offer the camber plates, if so how much? If not, would another brand of camber plates fit? Who sells these and how much do they sell for? Would handling and tire wear be improved with the addition of camber plates? Did you get a price onthe wheel spacers you'd mentioned. I'm trying to get an idea as to howm much I need to save.

Thanks.
Kevin.

Actually, if you look at the stock setup with 205s on the 7 inch wheels. The tires poke out past the rim lip by at least a few mm. In your case your stretching the tire a bit so that probably saves you a few mm. You MAY be OK with just 5mm spacers. Who knows. Food for thought though

Are longer wheel bolts needed with just a 5mm spacer?

Well I'm sad to say the $1000 I had set aside for the coilovers went up in smoke this morning. My french bulldog who is allergic to everything got stung by a bee and went into shock and we had to rush him to the ER. $900 and 5 hours later I'm glad to say he's doing better. I love my dog so it was money well spent, I'm just sad I'm gonna have to wait on these coils. I'm stoked to see some pics when you guys all get yours on. Keep us updated

I'm considering the BC coil-overs and lowering the car about 1 or maybe 1.5 inches. In this case, are camber plates advised? Does BC offer the camber plates, if so how much? It was mentioned that wheel spacers would be needed. Who sells these?

I'm trying to get an idea as to how much to budget for the suspension upgrade.

Thanks.
Kevin.

The coil overs do not come with camber plates (to my knowledge) you will need 5mm wheel spacers to clear the dampers front and rear as the bc dampers will be wider. Usually up to 5mm spacers are not required to be hub centric as the stock hub ring will be longer than 5mm however I have yet to actually measure it. I would advise you to call ecs tuning and they will get you what you need

I don't think you'll need to worry about camber with a 1" drop.

KW have confirmed that no spacer is needed with their coilovers for fitting the OEM rims.

How about the other way- what's the max spacer that can fit with stock wheels? Anybody have info?

Hm I wonder why bc states the need for spacers.. Unless they just use a wider strut. I honestly can't remember if they recommended them for just the front or front and rear. Looks to me like the rear has a bit more clearance than the front in stock form

I don't think anyone's gotten them. Ordered mine a week ago and was told it would be 2 to 3 weeks on shipping. As far as I remember I was the first one on the forums to order. Soon as I get them I'll install them and post pics

I'm also looking for feedback on the ride quality. I've used KW, ST, JRZ, Eibach, H&R...Never tried BC as my first impression was that the quality was lacking but from what I've read they seem to be doing quite well for the price.

Same here, same day

Unfortunately I'll be gone that whole weekend though, blegh. But I'll be fishing, so it's not all bad.
