Just an observation.... it stays on for a few minutes but turns off after the car is shut off (I am thinking like 15 minutes). I like this for my radar detector so it wont drain the battery. But this means you cant use a battery tender that uses this outlet.

Thank you for posting this. Love that it shuts off, hate having to turn off the radar detector each time i turn the car off!

 

Killed a battery on my escape that way...forgot to unplug.

 

+1 The timer is a nice touch. Radar detectors illegal here, but this will work well for my dash cam.

 

Flicking the switch twice turns off the car completely.

 

the outlet stays hot even if you do that...for about 15 minutes

 

I hate that it doesnt turn off until you lock the car. Wish it would turn off the radio when you open the door, like ive experienced on most cars ive owned

 

just to be clear, you know that if you hit the switch 2 times it turns off without locking the car right?
