That video has been posted a few times, and from prior discussions, its worth pointing out that while its a cool looking video, the lighting won't be that dramatic in person. That video was shot with a long exposure time to make the light seem that bright, its much more subtle in reality. Also, you'll usually have the instrument panel with all its orange lights going as well when driving the car, which conflicts with the other lighting and decreases the overall effect (unless you leave it on orange!)
That front seat bolster leaves quite a gap in that position...? Looks like a real dust/crumb collector!
True statement unfortunately... Doesn't matter if it's left in the closed position or the open, it catches dirt and anything else you may drop into the abyss... Lol Annoying that my local car wash guys never seem to get the vacuum in there....

Local car wash guys?
Real (i.e. obsessed) NAM members wash their own cars at a minimum the first six months.
it looks like only the MCS gets the "chrome" gas cap door?
were previous generations like this too?
i never noticed that until now! weird.
Yup, I think that has always been the case. Quick way to tell on a side glance if its an S or Justa if you can't see the back and front details!
Also lets you tell the generations apart quick if you can't see the front end or rear tail lights (like trying to tell what gen that MINI that just fly by you on the opposite side of the highway...), as the F56 has the gas tank on the passenger's side and previous generations on the driver's side.
Happy to say I've just passed 500km on my Cooper - and what a great little package!
First of all, the Blazing Red is stunning in person - low light, sunlight, grey skies. I've never had so many compliments on the color for any of my previous cars (about 16 in 27 years).
I'm a big fan of the dynamic chassis control (can't imagine not being able to firm up the suspension on the fly), the Harmon Kardon stereo and the marvellous LED lights. Absolute must have features in my book.
I like the Nav and central WURLITZER light display. The colors seem to change with my moods
Thinking about adding a sports steering wheel at some later point as I'm a paddles kinda gal!
Heres hoping I'll have this car for many years!! (that will involve ignoring every Golf R that I see in 2015..... and this little car is just the tool for the job).
Looks great! i went with the 16" Loop wheels on mine too. the 17s and 18s look nice, but I decided I would enjoy the softer ride that the taller sidewall gives more and hopefully it'll reward me with less rattles!
Picked up an F56 a couple weeks ago for a daily driver, to keep the miles off my beloved R53 GP (@ 67k miles). I'm truly shocked at how much I like driving the F56...and got a base Cooper manual. Love the 3 cyl!!
This is now the 4th MINI I've had and the only non-S I've had. Going to keep it stock (or try to at least!), but the 3 cyl motor is just begging for an exhaust....I have one in the works
