Smoothed and painted the flat black trim gloss black! I think it looks much better now! Still want to change the flat black on the mirrors but that's for another time... Not the best picture but it's the only one I have right now where the gloss is obvious!
Hello,
Here's my '15 Justa with standard 15" wheels, officially nicknamed "Fireball." I was hoping for 16s but this gem arrived as you see. It's fairly base, but has sunroof, heated seats, auto-climate control. It's a manual trans and very fun to drive. I'm leasing it mostly since this is my first experience with Mini, but so far, I love the car.

MK, Hallelujah, finally!! Now there's at least two stylin' dudes in the Centennial State! Love the look, especially the wheels! What a slog it's been for both of us. Now on to cool winter driving.
Biker, thanks! You have VO as well? Did you stay with 15" wheels?
Yes and yes. It may be the one option I'm having second thoughts about. As it turned out, because of the EPA delay, I got a $600 discount but who knew back in June? This is my first Mini so I figured I'd stay standard, see how I liked them and save the bucks. Looking at all the pics on the forums, I'm getting a bit envious though. But I'm wondering, are people buying them more for their looks than performance? Oh well, there's always the next Mini!
The larger wheels are mostly for looks. The 15" are said to ride better cause there's more tire with air in it. Performance? I suppose there's less tire distortion turning with bigger wheels/thinner tires but that's probalby no biggie.

Like Newt wrote; 15s offer more cushioning between rim and road. Here in Cleveland, that may be essential given our crappy roads any time of year. Had I ordered, I would have got 16s, but I've got nice Michelin tires on the standards.
As you, I'm new to the brand, so I'd better get used to the car for a while. Love it though!
Looks like Chili Red is finally available, but only with the JCW exterior package. Does anyone know what the wheels look like on that pack, and what else it comes with?
