Gauge Cluster Question

Does the current gear position (eg 1>6 & R) appear in the info display in the speedo for the manual trans like the PRNDL does for the automatics in the new MCS?

yes the centre gauge cluster does show your current gear position for the manual transmission- and I believe it also shows recommended shift patterns (e.g. 2->4- i guess i was letting her rev a little high... ). Also, from Steve's video review- it looked like one of the menu options allowed you to change the cluster display.

depending on driving mode, it will recommend what gear you should be on. in normal/mid mode, it will notify you at roughly 2-200 RPM, at green it is less than 2k RPM and in sport, above 2200RPM.

it will recommend as mentioned, when to upshift and downshift. there is no option in the menus to remove it, so it will always stay there, but it does allow you to remove or add any of the following:
average mph
current mph
average mpg
current mpg
hearbeat (not sure what this one means)

It's a small and neat feature IMO. Especially for those new with a manual shifter.

Aftermarket Gauges

Being the **** Retentive that I am I want to add Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauges to my F56. I just heard from OutMotoring that Cravenspeed is working on a duel gauge mount for our cars. I was told it will possibly be asymmetric, thus offsetting the tach on the other side of the speedo. I'm ready and will keepo you posted on installation as soon as it's available.

If you put the selector into sport mode it displays the selections as S1, S2 etc

Would have been nice if a gauge package was offered with these and other items.

Yep. I love that feature, especially for knowing I am in reverse!
