I emailed my MA and he said North Scottsdale Mini is having some sort of launch event on Saturday April 26th. If you find any dates near you post here so others might attend. What I'm hoping for is that by then they will have a bunch of cars in different colors and interior combos so I can see and compare. I plan on ordering one but want to see some options rather than order off the Configurator. I realize a lot of you have already placed orders but there are probably some like me who are lurking.
Hmmmm. MINI told their dealers that they could not allow us to take delivery of our new MCSs until the 15th, the supposed official launch date. So will dealers hold them back even longer to the day of their actual launch event? I surely hope not.
MINI of Hawaii is having ours on the 19th of April, 10am to 4pm. We've got a couple of MT cars on the way, a Cooper and a Cooper S for demo. We also have a black F56 Cooper S in the showroom that we (boo!) can't drive yet.

I remember Mini N Scottdale had one of these gigs spring of 2007. I don't know when they started getting their R56 stock in but I went. There were a bunch of people's R53 cars parked out back (I think they have a little track) and some R56's. I did a test drive the next day, looked over their stock (about 40 cars), and drove mine home. I hope to do that again next month. The difference now is there's another Mini dealer in Tempe that wasn't open then.

Looks like it's April 26th 9am-9pm at my dealer, MINI of Valencia. I did RSVP just for the heck of it. Would be cool to drive a F56 S. Hopefully they have stick shift models available.

The is neat. It's fun where you find your car that way. Hope it has been a pure joy to own and drive. I'm a noob with these. My F-56 will be my first MINI. It really was love at first sight.
Somebody from Pittsburgh took delivery on March 29th. Their review of the car is on the MotoringFile, the F56 Hit US Dealers This Weekend article comments section. There are a lot of comments there about people who have driven it. I'm curious about the sign reading camera thingy.
MINI of Birmingham is actually having several. One this Friday for our local club, one a few weeks later for one of the "outlying" clubs, and then then the big one on April 26th.
They have really "gotten behind" our local club this year. It's very heartening!
